HIRING HIRING HIRING  👨👩👧👦 I wonder how everyone goes about finding the right people to grow their team and business? I find myself in a vicious circle where I need to hire in order to delegate, but in the meantime, I struggle to find the time to hire because I don’t delegate. Does that make sense? In any case, I’m now putting some time in my calendar to focus solely on finding people that inspire us and are excited to grow with Kimaï! If you know any hustlers who are excited about joining a fast-growing brand, bringing it to the next level, and have a passion for jewelry, please do send them our way! 🚀 We’re looking to fill in different positions in London and Paris ! 🌎 And as a small but mighty team there’s loads of opportunities for growth. 📩 Email us at info@kimai.com 1. So proud to see Kimaï being recognized as leading the lab grown diamond revolution 🚀 Financial Times

Kimaï in the Financial Times 😎 Always proud to see Kimaï being recognized as leading the lab grown diamond revolution 💎 Five years ago, no one thought it would be possible to bring about any kind of change in the traditional and close-minded space that is the diamond industry - but we knew that lab-grown diamonds were the future 🦄 Five years in, we've come a long way. The market is still in its early days, and education continues to play a crucial role, but the shift is actively underway, happening faster than we ever could have imagined, and we couldn't be prouder to be part of it 🚀 In 5 years' time, do you think people will still be buying a mined diamond engagement ring? 💍 #madenotmined #labgrowndiamonds #financialtimes #diamonds

Never get into business with your best friend. Everyone has heard this one before. And it was definitely our biggest question when starting Kimaï 💎. At the time, Sidney Neuhaus and myself were roommates in London. But more than roommates we spent all our time together - we shared the same friends, same passions 💃 So when we decided to go into business together we were excited! However, the reaction we most got was, 'Don't do it; it will ruin your friendship’ ❌ Five years in, here’s what I believe makes our partnership a successful one:  🥇 COMPLEMENTARY SKILLS & CLEAR ROLES: Sidney and I have very different skills - she’s the creative force, bringing designs to life, while I have more of a strategic and business mind. Based on that, we’ve established clear roles from the get-go - she manages all things designs and production, while I lead marketing and business decisions. We complement each other perfectly - as one can't function without the other. This allows us to work seamlessly together without stepping on each other's toes. → When getting into business with friends ensure that each of you brings something different to the table. If you both possess the same skills, setting clear roles and boundaries becomes challenging which can potentially lead to frustration and disagreements. I'm personally not a huge fan of co-CEOs (although some, like Warby Parker, have succeeded!) as know how decisions can be efficiently made when two different people hold the exact same role in a company. 🎶 TRUST IN EACH OTHER'S STRENGTH: As co-founders, we definitely share the same vision for the company, but we are still two individuals with differing opinions. This means that when it comes to making decisions, we may not always agree. Establishing clear and distinct roles from the outset ensures clarity regarding ownership of different aspects of the business, and therefore, the authority over decisions in those specific areas. →In our case, when it comes to decisions regarding design or production, I always trust Sidney to have the final say, regardless of whether I agree or not. Similarly, when it's decisions about business or marketing, I'll be the one making the final call. This doesn't mean that we don't consult each other on various topics; we always do. However, this approach ensures there's no frustration and that we're able to navigate different matters smoothly. Partnerships are challenging in many ways, you will still disagree on differnet matters, with friends or business partners, but I do believe that starting a business with a cofounder is very rewarding - as I don’t know how I would have done it on my own! Here’s a picture of Sidney and I on a business trip to Los Angeles 🇺🇸, last week. We feel guilty, as our business trips often look like holidays but that’s the upside of our partnership - we’re able to mix both! 🏄♀️ Every experience can be different but let me know what you think ? #founders #friends #partnership

Meet our best seller, the Jackie Ring 💍 💙

View profile for Jessica Warch, graphic

    Co-Founder & CEO at Kimaï | Forbes 30 under 30

When we started Kimaï we never thought that a lab grown diamond engagement ring 💍 would be thing in the next 10 years. There was such a lack of education and awareness, plus so much marketing spend was pooled in from traditional players such as De Beers - that bringing innovation to that industry seemed like impossible. Fast track five years, lab grown diamonds are taking over the bridal space and the market is continuously growing and thriving. And we couldn't be prouder to see Kimaï leading that change 💎 That being said, we did want to do things differently than other players as we believe that innovation didn't stop at the materials but also comes through design. Looking at the market, we couldn't find any differentiation from one brand to another - everyone was offering the exact same designs, just under a different name. We wanted to create something that represented us, as a modern women. Something different, unique and timeless. Meet our best seller, the Jackie Ring 💍 💙

Meghan Markle wears Kimaï's Semi Hoop Earring 💜

Meghan Markle wears Kimaï, once again! We launched Kimaï 5 years ago with very little investment and close to no marketing. Two months after our launch, Meghan Markle was seen wearing our earrings at an official outing - and this completely changed our brand. It enabled us to grow our sales 10000% overnight and gain visibility worldwide. The impact wasn't just seen on our brand but also on the industry as a whole. It was the first time royalty was seen wearing lab grown diamonds - at the time, still a very new concept. A few months ago we had the honor of seeing Meghan Markle wearing our earrings once again. Our best sellers the Semi Hoop 💜 #labgrowndiamonds #meghanmarkle #femalefounders

The future is lab grown 💎

And it's just getting started ! Soo excited to see the market shifting and demand booming. Last year, 1 in 2 engagement rings sold in the US were made with a lab grown diamond. A huge shift compared to five years ago when lab grown diamonds represented only 2% of the total diamond market. Couldn't be prouder to be part of that shift and looking forward for the year ahead with Kimaï 🚀 The future is lab grown ! #labgrowndiamonds #luxury
