Construction works to commence on site of new Kainos global headquarters and Queen’s eco-friendly accommodation. 🏗️Work is due to begin on site for Queen’s University Belfast’s new student accommodation and Kainos’ new global headquarters at Bankmore Exchange, on the Dublin Road in Belfast. Planning permission was granted earlier this year for Kainos to develop its new headquarters, and for Queen’s to develop the first Passivhaus purpose-built managed student accommodation in Northern Ireland. Russell Sloan, CEO of Kainos, stated: "This location will serve as Kainos' global headquarters, situated right here in Belfast. We are eager to stimulate local economic growth and generate new opportunities within the city. This building underlines our commitment to Belfast. In addition to our own base, this tech hub will provide sustainable office space for other companies. Our aim is to contribute to Belfast’s position as a leading destination for investment and employment." We're proud to announce that Tom Gray our Group Chief Technology Officer and Director of Innovation, has been appointed Visiting Professor of AI and Innovation within the School of Computing at Ulster University. “I am honoured to be appointed Visiting Professor of AI and Innovation at the Ulster University’s School of Computing. I look forward to working with students and staff over the coming years to support their research and training for an industry that is rapidly advancing and providing significant economic opportunity to Northern Ireland and further afield.” Tom will use his 35 years of experience at Kainos to mentor and coach PhD researchers at Ulster University, including those at the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre (AIRC), helping to ensure that the ongoing research leads to the development of market-leading, ethical, and responsible AI. https://ow.ly/grz150SKVYf
