About us
At Illo Agency, we pride ourselves in representing a global range of artists; distinctively diverse in creativity and uniquely celebrated by like-minded clients. Illo is brand new type of illustration agency that provides a kaleidoscopic curation of global illustration styles, straddling use across multiple creative markets. our artists are from opposite corners of the world and influenced by cultures that create truly unique styles. you may have noticed that our logo is missing a corner. the physical edge this creates works as a visual reminder for our team to translate the values at the core of Illo’s, albeit jagged, heart. We have the EDGE to our competition by representing EDGY artwork. not dissimilar from approaching a cliff EDGE, we task risks by representing artwork that is different to what you might find elsewhere. you may VERGE on finding comparable styles, but no two are the same. just like EDGES, our artwork is SHARP and so are the artists. they make a POINT of making a difference, right at the PEAK of the commercial creative field. We strive to represent artwork that challenges creativity within current mainstream media; art that commits to being distinct and diverse.

When we asked our new recruit Sofia Ossman to give a scenario of a project that would mean the world to her.... I would love to publish a children’s book with some of the publishers I admire. My dream project is a fun, bright, and engaging book for kids aged 0-3. It could help children learn about the exciting world around them or teach them about friendship and kindness, understanding different emotions, or simple things like ABCs and 123s—all in a fun and engaging way! I’d also love to include lift-the-flap elements to make the learning experience even more interactive and enjoyable. This project would be incredibly meaningful because it aligns with my goal of spreading happiness and building a sense of belonging among all children through my art. Sofia Ossman's vibrant and quirky artworks bring joy through colour, bold shapes and patterns. Sofia's journey is as unique as her art. After a decade as a model travelling the globe, she has absorbed a rich tapestry of artistic and cultural influences, which helped her shape her distinctive style. She's now decided to pursue her childhood dream of illustrating children's books, a dream that began with sketches in the margins of her own books. Sofia's engaging and lively illustrations are sure to deeply resonate deeply with children from around the world. Check out her Q&A here > https://shorturl.at/vEHZt

On Friday 26th April 2024, Prestel Publishing went to town (in NYC) with a launch party to celebrate the release of Category is: Cocktails!, a vibrant drinks recipe book featuring brilliant illustrations from illo's own Cheyne Gallarde. The event was elevated with performances and bingo hosted by Christeene and Linda Simpson. Category Is: Cocktails! features original recipes for 60 cocktails and zero-proof drinks, alongside beautifully-rendered illustrations and profiles of the personalities who inspired them. Here are some pics for second-hand enjoyment. There was even an Instagram-famous cat there!! This book has been hugely popular, selling around 3,000 copies in the first three weeks! The photographer on the night was Lauren Silberman > https://lnkd.in/eT4EVHJF Find out more here > https://lnkd.in/e_KmADRi

When we asked Tasia Graham what her favourite subject matter was to illustrate? Anything adventure style, I love mystical, nature, interesting scenes, i find I have the most fun being able to warp compositions and play with colour. We're very pleased to introduce a new recruit; UK based Tasia Graham, she's an imaginative story telling artist who uses scenic imagery and striking colour coordination. We love her use of texture, layering and figurative line work, with themes of imagination, womanhood and cultural identity. Tasia explores the emotional attributes of human behaviour, transforming ‘feeling’ into atmospheric imagery; “I want the viewer feel like they are standing in the middle of the painting”. An Artist's Perspective, written by Sophia Watts - a designer and illustrator from Nottingham whose passions include animals, food, and... travel! A theme that features prominently in her work... ".....I have been lucky enough to visit some really amazing places in the last few years. In January, my girlfriend and I flew to Mexico City to travel Central America for three months. It’s safe to say that this was a life changing experience for us both, and gave me a lot of inspiration. From volcano boarding in Nicaragua to volunteering in a wildlife sanctuary in Costa Rica - we’ve had some incredible experiences that I’ll be forever grateful for. We have more plans to travel in the next couple of months to Asia. I carry an iPad as my sketchbook as it saves a lot of room in my very full bag! It’s also really versatile in terms of the media brushes and colours I can choose from in procreate." Take a short trip over to our Q&A > https://shorturl.at/mou14
