Hunza G was originally born in 1984, known then only as Hunza under the direction of Peter Meadows who created its signature, unique crinkle-stretch fabrication and high-cut leggy designs.
Hunza became instantly recognisable in the 90s after being worn by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman – yes, that cut-out mini dress. In 2015, Hunza added the G when Georgiana Huddart relaunched the brand and became creative director after having an obsession with the fabrics throughout her 20s.
With modern nostalgia at its core, Hunza G has grown to become an iconic brand synonymous with the beach. Its 80s roots bring a cool and contemporary twist to beachwear in powerful hues. With a one-size-fit mantra made possible by figure flattering fabric that flexes to sculpt and support all shapes, the secret to Hunza G is to wear it how you want to.
Born in the UK, our signature crinkle is made with no deadstock fabric or wastage. Our one size stance is not only an effort to remain an inclusive brand, but also reduces the risk of over-purchased sizing on a commercial level. Ethical and comfortable, each piece will see you through a lifetime and all that it brings.
We strive to provide the most considerate and healthy working environment for all members of the team – from production and prep, to Head Office – it’s something that really matters to us. Fair trade and a consistently positive setting are key to providing the best end-product for our community of loyal customers.

Last Thursday, The Change Foundation, in partnership with Hunza G, brought together 100 netballers, who each represented their corporations, to try and be crowned Hunza G Super 7s champions, and each win a bikini donated by Hunza G!
It was a brilliant event, located at Lincoln Inn Fields, with the weather luckily holding up! The teams were all so enthusiastic and played brilliantly, with St. James’s Place being declared winners, who faced SheerLuxe in the final, which was an incredible game of netball. With the individual Player of the Tournament being Maya Wiseman from Brandalley!
A special thank you needs to go to Beverly Hill, CEO of Hunza G and TCF Ambassador, for arranging this partnership and her work towards this tournament, which was a total success!
Another thank you must go to all the teams which competed so brilliantly - BrandAlley, BNP Paribas, Coutts, Hunza G, Oliver Bonas, Ralph Lauren, Sheerluxe, St James Place, and The Change Foundation.
Lastly, thank you to all staff, Dedpro Media, umpires, and first aider who made this event possible and run so smoothly.
Hunza G on tour.
With the launch of new pop-up stores in London and Los Angeles, plus residencies in some of our biggest global stockists, there is plenty of opportunity to try our Original Crinkle™ IRL this summer.
Thank you WWD for the feature, talking all things Hunza G heritage and our new LA pop up. It has been an absolutely magic first month at 8402 Melrose Avenue.
To celebrate 40 years of The Original Crinkle™ we hosted an intimate dinner in our new London pop-up store.
We are so excited to be back in Covent Garden at 35-37 Monmouth Street. Open until the end of summer, stop by to discover in-store exclusives, cult styles and unmissable experiences.
See you there!
Yesterday we re-opened our doors at 35-37 Monmouth Street for our summer pop-up.
It was a fabulous opening, thanks to everyone that came down (some queuing up since 4am) to enjoy complimentary gel nails by Shannon Elias, limited gifts, and more.
Thanks to Hunza G HQ for bringing our second pop-up of the summer to life, and to our amazing store staff managed by Kyle Williams, whom we are so excited to be working with again for the second summer in Covent Garden.
See you at the store!
