Today 21 March 2024, PRANTIC distributed scarf to the female adolescents and youth trainees to attend the vocational training in host and Rohingya communities with dignity and religious compliance during Ramadan. As the participants of first base, 192 trainees received scarfs with three distinct colors such as blue, yellow and violet however the 6 trainers in Rohingya community received white colored scarfs to make a difference between the trainers and trainees in the training room. Similarly, scarfs are also distributed among 48 trainees and 2 trainers in the host community. Project Coordinator Ms. Jebunnesa Luchi, Livelihood Supervisor Mr. Haider Ali and Master Trainer Ms. Noor Aktar were present during scarf distribution. Incredible, 35+ non-Muslim colleagues across Azets Yorkshire joined me to experience a day of fasting during #Ramadan. They were all up for Sehri (start of the fast) and pinged me their breakfast at circa 3.30am. A few that couldn't join in the fasting yesterday either fasted on Tuesday or fasting today. Claire Needham enjoyed fasting so much yesterday that she is doing her second fast today. We also had a presentation from Human Relief Foundation telling us about the great work they do. Thanks to all who donated, the website is still live! https://lnkd.in/eZ8QMpUX Great seeing all my colleagues persevering during the day and as energy levels dropped they motivated each other to keep going - well done all! We held Iftari at our new Leeds office and many of our colleagues were able to join us as they listened to the Azaan and opened the fast with dates and water followed by delicious Pakistani food. Yousef Hussain and Maleehah Aziz gave a little talk about the significance of Ramadan. Gaza Aid Update - 3 March 2024: Our first aid convoy from Egypt, loaded with flour for bread production, is en route to the Rafah border and expected to cross within the next five to seven days. Aid from Jordan will also soon depart for the border with non-perishable food items for displaced communities innocently caught up in the atrocities. 🏃♂️🌍 Excited to share my recent experience running the Marrakech Marathon for a great cause! Through generous support, I raised over £1,400 for Human Relief Foundation. 🙌 Training for this marathon was no small feat – it required intense dedication and commitment. From early morning runs to cross-training sessions, every step pushed me closer to my goal. 💪 The journey was about more than just physical endurance; it was about pushing boundaries and embracing the challenge. 🏅 The Marrakech Marathon itself was an unforgettable adventure. Running through the vibrant streets was an experience like no other. 🏞️ The energy among participants was truly inspiring, and genuinely helped me reach the end goal. The funds raised will support vital programs and initiatives, for those most in need. Excited to share that I recently completed the Marrakech Half-Marathon, raising over £2,000 for Palestine! 🏃🏽♀️ As someone who’s never been a fan of running (5km is my limit!), this was one of the most intense yet rewarding challenges I’ve taken on, and it has taught me valuable lessons in consistency and perseverance 💪🏽 Thank you to everyone who has been donating and raising awareness for this important cause.
