I’ve had a lovely day out in the sunshine for the official opening of Ideal for All Salop Drive Market Garden 👏🪴 Awarded just over £88,000 through the Inclusive Communities Fund to improve access and facilities at their fabulous space, and the difference the award has made is simply amazing! It’s a wonderful charity offering employment opportunities, friendship and a safe sanctuary for disabled people, people suffering from mental health and supporting those who are lonely and isolated. I have to say I felt calmer just being outdoors in this wonderful place ❤️ Thanks to their brilliant CEO Khatija Patel, the wonderful Mayor of Sandwell Councillor Syeda Khatun and the all staff and volunteers for an inspiring afternoon 💕 And of course always lovely to bump into one of my own Trustees Calum Nisbet! • 📅 This is your reminder that the deadline to submit an expression of interest for the NNS Connected Communities Fund is August 2nd! As part of the Neighbourhood Networks Scheme, commissioned by Birmingham City Council Adult Social Care, the Connected Communities project was developed to address the potential gaps in community activities and support for smaller minority or interest groups in Birmingham, which may not be prioritised by the wider NNS. NNS Connected Communities aims to commission a single-grant award of up to £260,000 over 2 years (with the option to extend until 2027) to one organisation to work with three priority communities in Birmingham: 💙 LGBTQ+ communities 💙 Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities [GRT] 💙 Deaf BSL communities Partnership applications may be accepted but will require one lead organisation. The NNS Connected Communities project is a fantastic opportunity to bring real, invaluable change to life in the Birmingham community. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! https://bit.ly/4dKDmps

📣 Funding news! We’re so thrilled to announce that we've been awarded a grant from the Inclusive Communities Fund—a £9 million initiative inspired by the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealtg Games. This funding will support a new programme for ACCELERATE later this year!  ➡ Aligned with the Commonwealth Games principles, we are focussed on bringing people together, putting our region on the map and enabling better futures for our young people. Accelerate will inspire energy conscious young people in schools across Coventry and Rugby. Amplifying over 1000 young voices through a tour of our new performance, an energy summit and a new Young Producers programme. This project is a powerful partnership between Highly Sprung, Warwick Institute of Engagement, Sustainability West Midlands, and Coventry's Strategic Energy Partnership with EON. Thanks to the Heart of England Community Foundation, West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), United by Legacy, @UKGOV and the Commonwealth Games organisers for this incredible opportunity. #InclusiveCommunities #LegacyFund #PositiveChange

  • 🏫 This is your reminder that we have a new Solihull Community Buildings Fund! Solihull Council is seeking to improve access and use of independently owned community buildings in the Solihull borough. This can include community and youth centres, village halls, as well as faith and school buildings that can provide regular community access and use. The Community Building Fund has a total of £250,000, with a minimum of five capital grants to be awarded. There is no maximum or minimum amount that organisations can apply for, but projects must demonstrate value for money. Only capital expenditure can be supported, but we can support projects that might do any of the following: 🧡 Expand the time during the week that communities can access existing buildings; 🧡 Expand the existing offer, through the addition of new facilities or storage; 🧡 Expand the capacity of a building, including through the addition of an extension or more toilet facilities; 🧡 Adapt buildings to make them more accessible to people with sensory needs or disabilities. 🗓 The closing date is July 31st so get your applications in!
