Where else to inspire the next generation to dream than at Dreamland Margate. As a partner of the UK Creative Festival, we're helping to champion the next wave of creative leaders, ensuring our industry's bright and diverse future. Speaking on a panel about redefining the way brands use outdoor to engage with the public, Anto Chioccarelli identified the trend of “going back to brilliant basics” while calling for creativity, telling the audience, “outdoor is a big stage crying out for big ideas.” Anto's session was followed by a masterclass which saw her team up with Lisa Portman to show the budding young audience best practice in outdoor. They shared how big, salient brands can make an impact with simple designs because they're so recognisable, and how it's important for brands to consider what frustrates people as much as what excites them when crafting their message. A huge thank you to our Commercial Marketing and Talent Acquisition teams for bringing our exhibit and sessions to life, as well as Global Academy students who took on a whole host of roles at the two-day event as part of their work experience. With a new PM moved in at Number 10, we wanted to take this opportunity to say an enormous thank you to all of our Globallers, presenters, and guests whose tireless efforts saw Global deliver the most ambitious and impactful election coverage ever broadcast on UK radio. Lead by LBC's Managing Editor, Tom Cheal, our teams in the newsroom, production, video, events, editorial, technology, Global Player, marketing, comms, workspace - and everyone else in between - all played their part in the run up to the election and on the momentous night itself. On air, LBC and 'The News Agents' joined forces to broadcast audio/visual coverage streamed live on Global Player, LBC's website and social channels, plus sister station LBC News shared headlines around the clock. Across our outdoor estate, we shared breaking news in tandem with our on-air broadcast. As much as we'd love to credit all involved, there simply aren't enough characters permitted on a post!
