Proud to be a signatory to this letter, welcoming the new Prime Minister & calling for #equality & #safety for #LGBTQI communities. Time to prioritise #HumanRights at home & globally. GiveOut
At a time when our LGBT+ communities, and particularly Trans communities, have been under attack for so long, it is important we use this time of change to reset relationships and how our communities are both talked about, and worked with. As a new UK Government is formed, Consortium and many of its member organisations across the UK have written to the new Prime Minister to welcome them into their role. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to ensure LGBT+ people, communities and policy issues are firmly on his, and his team's desk. You can read our letter to the PM here: https://lnkd.in/eAcnuRAq

Pride events and flying the rainbow flag are great ways for businesses to celebrate progress and show solidarity with their LGBTQI staff and the wider community. But to help those around the world facing discrimination and violence on a daily basis we need to do more. We are happy to partner with many corporate allies who are marking Pride with Purpose by supporting LGBTQI organisations who are doing vital work to tackle inequalities and campaign for lasting change. By standing in solidarity with LGBTQI communities around the world, our corporate allies are ensuring that these organisations have more of the resources they need to create a world where LGBTQI people can live freely and fully. Thank you to the following organisations for your ongoing commitment to support LGBTQI communities worldwide. Northern Trust, LinkedIn, Google, GAY TIMES, EY, KKR, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Dorian , Freehold LGBT+ CIC, Payoneer, ev.energy, Mastercard, Arm, Queer Edge, BCLP, Optima Systems, Standard Chartered. If you would like to join our community of supporters and partner with GiveOut, you can contact us at give@giveout.org. We would love to hear from you! #Pride #LGBTQI #Philanthropy #CorporateSupport #Fundraising

This Pride month we want to celebrate some of our incredible donors who make the work of our partners possible through providing vital funding to grassroots LGBTQI organisations. Thanks to the support of Global Butterflies and their amazing partners, the Global Butterflies Fund is empowering Consortium of LGBT+ Voluntary and Community Organisations and the International Trans Fund (ITF) to enable lasting change and advocate for the rights of trans and non-binary people. Rachel Reese 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 and Emma Cusdin (She/Her/Hers) from Global Butterflies said “We know that trans and non-binary people around the world are having a very challenging time. We want to provide a giving vehicle for all of our corporate and personal connections to support all the amazing trans and non-binary campaigners making positive changes.” Thank you to Global Butterflies and all the supporters of the Global Butterflies Fund for supporting trans communities, and for marking Pride with Purpose. #LGBTQI #HumanRights #PrideBeyondBorders #Philanthropy #CorporateSupport

Breaking news! The High Court in Namibia has overturned laws that criminalise homosexuality. The court ruling stated the colonial-era sodomy law is unconstitutional. A huge congratulations to all of the activists and organisations involved in making this groundbreaking victory possible. Talking about the ruling, GiveOut grant partner The Commonwealth Equality Network (TCEN) said, “Namibia joins Dominica and Mauritius on the growing list of Commonwealth countries that are repealing or removing these discriminatory colonial laws. Despite the challenges facing our communities globally, victories like these show another world is possible.” TCEN supports and connects LGBTQI activists from across the Commonwealth to raise their voices against the damaging impact of British colonial laws, especially the criminalisation of same-sex relations, and to advocate for reform in Commonwealth meetings including Heads of Government meetings. 📸: Equal Namibia

Was honoured to join this panel last night on "A Just Energy Transition", speaking to the Energy Institute's Young Professionals Network. I spoke about the intersection of LGBTQI rights and climate change and GiveOut's world-first LGBTQI Climate Fund. Shout out to Oaklin for hosting and for making a donation to the Fund!
Last night, alongside Jason Ball OAM of GiveOut, Jesusoorefunmi Olaoye and Edwin Ehiorobo of Energyz Black, and Harriet Bradshaw-Smith of The Carbon Trust, I had the privilege of speaking on behalf of Oaklin at the Energy Institute Young Professionals Network London Branch "Just Energy Transition" event. It was truly inspiring to engage with so many passionate young professionals dedicated to shaping a sustainable future. We delved into critical discussions about equitable energy solutions, energy access, the role of LGBTQI+ communities in climate change, innovative technologies, and the part each of us plays in this transformative journey. The insights and enthusiasm shared by everyone reaffirmed the importance of equitable collaboration and innovation in achieving a just energy transition. Thank you to the Energy Institute for organising such a meaningful event and to all the attendees for their invaluable contributions. #justenergytransition #sustainability #youngprofessionals #energyinstitute #sustainablefuture #innovation #collaboration

This Pride month we want to celebrate some of the incredible donors such as Cinven for their support of LGBTQI communities around the world. Cinven has supported GiveOut since 2022, who are investing in building GiveOut’s capacity to grow giving to the global LGBTQI movement. Thanks to allies such as Cinven, we can ensure that more resources are available for LGBTQI organisations who are doing vital work to defend our communities and campaign for lasting change in some of the hardest places to be LGBTQI. We are incredibly grateful to Cinven for supporting LGBTQI rights around the world and for marking Pride with Purpose. #LGBTQI #HumanRights #PrideBeyondBorders #Philanthropy #CorporateSupport #Fundraising
