We are delighted to see Eurovia's Technical Director Paul Kidd join the Institute of Asphalt Technology Council 👏
Welcome Wednesday We welcome the second of our new IAT Council members - Paul Kidd With over 30 years of operational experience in quarrying, asphalt production, contracting and asphalt technology, Paul combines depth of knowledge and expertise with practical experience of the asphalt industry. Having started his career as a Trainee Engineer; achieving a BEng Degree in Quarry and Road Surface Engineering at Doncaster College, he is now Technical Director at Eurovia, responsible for managing all aspects of technical support across the wider group and engaging with clients to bring new technology, innovation and sustainable solutions to market. His extensive knowledge has been grown through the management of several maintenance contracts throughout the UK, overseeing surfacing operations and high-profile projects in London & the South East, including the delivery of resurfacing on two major highway PFIs. As part of his passion and commitment for the wider sector, Paul was instrumental in the development of Eurovia’s unique Sector 16 to Formula Road training programme – the UK’s first programme dedicated to the delivery of high-quality materials and processes on the UK’s highway network and launched the 1st cohort of Road Surfacing Operative Apprentices in the UK in 2020 and continues to fully support the RSO Apprenticeship scheme through the IAT, in partnership with Telford College and Wirtgen. Paul’s particular expertise is his understanding of the full range of surfacing techniques as part of term maintenance and bespoke schemes for local and highway authorities and is a great ambassador for our industry and a welcome addition onto IAT Council. #asphalt #IAT
