This weekend some very brave members of the egg team are undertaking the MAMMOTH challenge of Tough Mudder in Yorkshire on behalf of our chosen charity Street Child! Tough Mudder is a hardcore obstacle course that tests strength, stamina, and mental grit – we will be taking on challenges such as the cage crawl, arctic enema (eek) and funky monkey, all in an effort to raise money for our chosen charity! The team at egg had a fantastic time attending Formula E's Change. Accelerated. Live! and engaging in thought-provoking discussions about the future of electric vehicles (EVs). It’s clear we’re beyond the early adopter phase, and now it’s all about scaling up and making EVs mainstream. Key takeaways: 🔌 Public Charging in Urban Settings: Access remains a critical challenge. Solutions need to be inclusive and integrated into city planning. 🏙️ Role of the Private Sector: Companies like ours play a pivotal role in unlocking the necessary infrastructure. By investing in and monetising charging networks, we can drive technology adoption and support a sustainable future. We're looking forward to continuing these conversations and driving positive change in the EV landscape. 

We recently kicked off the installation of a powerful 22.5kW Solar PV System at the Yorkshire Maritime City, North East Ship Yard. This is more than just an installation; it's a giant leap towards a sustainable future for our business customer, G-Tech. By harnessing the sun's energy, G-Tech is set to drastically cut down on carbon emissions while fuelling maritime innovation with clean, green power. ⚡ Stay tuned as we turn this vision into reality... 👀

Elevating our skills at egg! This week some of our team have been taking safety in the workplace to new heights - literally! 👷 The refresher training course included: 1️⃣ Working at height: mastering techniques to stay secure and efficient while working above ground. 2️⃣ Rescue after a fall: equipping our team with the vital skills needed to perform swift and effective rescues. 3️⃣ Rooftop working: ensuring safe and compliant practices for all rooftop tasks. At egg, our commitment to safety is unwavering. In the news 📣 The price cap is set to save households an average of just £17 this summer, whilst household energy bills are predicted to reach £1,724 by October, a significant jump from a pre-crisis average of £1,150. This surge in energy costs is expected to continue until at least October 2025. The UK’s high dependence on gas for electricity generation and heating is said to be costing the economy tens of billions of pounds. Dr Simon Cran-McGreehin, head of analysis at ECIU, said: "Common sense measures like investing in insulating the poorest homes, switching to electric heat pumps and fast-tracking British renewables will leave us less vulnerable to the whims of the international gas markets...
