We recently welcomed Wrangle Primary School and LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) to our Carrington farm🍓🚜 During the visit, the children took a look at our farm yard and grain stores at Carrington whilst exploring how combine harvesters work. The pupils enjoyed a range of educational activities, working closely with our team and LEAF to deliver an engaging and informative visit with a focus on combining and wheat production🌾 We also explored the glasshouse where the children learnt about how we use technology to extend the British growing season and grow the perfect strawberries🍓 #LEAF #FarmVisit #schoolvisit #education #futurefarmers

🎓 Summer Series 2024 saw a group of eight students from a range of backgrounds discover what life is like at Dyson Farming. From property to environment and energy to the glasshouse, this exclusive look, guided by experts from the business, helped them understand the importance of each department and the role they play in the wider picture. During the week, the group was split into two teams, with the aim of setting out a project for one of the farm yards, using the information they had gathered to create a business plan for the site. What an awesome experience! The Dyson Summer Series provided me with a great opportunity to learn from an army of different experts! It was great to be able to see firsthand the immense work Dyson are doing to improve British agriculture. I was lucky enough to experience: Q&As with board members, crop walking, a tour around the anaerobic digester and lastly a glass house visit amongst much more. What struck me the most was how the firm continues to innovate through their advanced use of technology in order to balance their environmental concerns with food production. I would like to extend my thanks to Dyson Farming for being such great hosts and in particular Danniella Tomlinson MCIPD for organising such a fun, busy and fascinating week.

Another dull ☁️☁️weekend morning here at our Carrington Glasshouse. 2024 so far has been far from optimum weather condition wise causing some challenges in the fresh produce 🍅🫐🍓🍏sector as whole. Growing under glass structure at Dyson Farming allowed us to keep greater control over some of the difficult growing conditions recently and here is the results of all the hard work … absolutely beautiful crop being picked this morning 🍓🌟🍓🌟 and you can tell that by the mood in the glasshouse . This year we sponsored the Schools' Challenge at The Lincolnshire Show and would like to congratulate all schools who participated.👏 After visiting the EXO centre ourselves, it was clear how much hard-work and creativity each school dedicated to this challenge. A particular congratulations to Dunston Primary School who won first place in their category 🏆🥇They took inspiration from the James Dyson Foundation’s ‘The Future of Farming’ resource which allowed their EYFS to get hands on with strawberry growing in an interactive and educational way.
