Dreams Come True

We make Dreams Come True for children who are living with a disability, serious illness, or life-limiting condition in areas of social deprivation across the UK, and as the cost-of-living crisis deepens we need your support now more than ever. In 22/23 we helped more children than ever before (3,253 to be exact), and we’re determined to continue breaking our records - but we cannot do this without you. We hope that you can see the moments of magic and lasting impact that our Dreams give to the children and communities that we reach and consider supporting us so that we can continue to make Dreams Come True. We are delighted to see Dreams Come True ambassador #BlyTwomey featured on Channel 4's 'Meet the Athletes' segment for the #Paralympics. 💜🧡  Hearing her speak about her growth in confidence through discovering Para table tennis, and witnessing her fighting spirit is incredibly inspiring. Plus there was a cameo from our ambassador William Bayley MBE too! 🏓 We're so glad that she discovered the sport through Brighton Table Tennis Club, who we're equally proud to support, and now she's heading to Paris. 💜🧡 Meet Jasiel. 💜🧡 He is 12 years old, from Manchester, and lives with Autism, a severe learning disability and ADHD. This presents with significant communication and sensory integration difficulties, which means that having a safe and stimulating environment is essential for him. He came to Dreams Come True looking for a bedroom makeover, and we were delighted to help. When creating a dream, we work with a child, their referrer and their family to ensure that it is just right for them, and upon learning that Jasiel’s passion is plane spotting, we knew we had to make his room extra special. We installed sensory lights, accessible furniture and even an aviation themed mural. The final magical touch was a projector, so he can watch the departures and arrivals at Heathrow Airport! Thank you so much to Jamie Borthwick at #DoubleHelixDesign, and Thomas Perrot for painting the amazing murals, we couldn’t have brought this dream to life without you! We stand beside Zillah Bingley and Rainbow Trust Children's Charity in their urgent call to the new government. The findings from The University of Birmingham are stark and shocking, and the struggles of the families we support deserve to be recognised. We hope you can support this cause during #DisabilityPrideMonth so their voices can be heard, and action can be taken imminently to help. 💜🧡 

We salute our Ambassador William Bayley MBE ahead of what will be his 5th #Paralympics this August in Paris.  💜🧡  We will be there to support him as he climbs his Everest - and we will be cheering Will and his team mates on – especially 14 year old #BlyTwomey, also our charity Ambassador - as they take to the world stage. We are behind you all the way, Will! 🏅
