For example, Co-op instore ads drove 12% beer brand sales uplift in the stores the media was executed (as expected), but also drove 3% beer brand sales uplift in nearby rival stores. As part of these plans we have signed a new franchise agreement with EG on the Move to trial seven convenience stores across the UK. Exciting news – we’re sharing a new study today from the work we’ve been carrying out with Co-op, the UK’s leading convenience retailer! The insights unveil how convenience retail media is not only boosting sales in Co-op, but also supercharging neighbouring grocery stores of up to fourfold the original sale! 🚀 🔍 The halo effect: Brand awareness amplified When brands advertise in Co-op shops, they create a positive halo effect. This not only drives immediate sales within Co-op stores but also triggers longer-term incremental sales uplifts in surrounding non-Co-op stores—up to four times the original sale. 📊 The science behind it: our Media Lift Solution Our complete market sales data was applied to evaluate the sales impact of in-store marketing activity in both Co-op’s own stores and surrounding non-Co-op stores. Using the site lists of the campaign activations, we built store catchment models based on store and purchase attributes. The catchment stores were then used with our proven matching algorithm to build statistically significant test and control panels of Co-op and halo stores. The analysis identified key brand sales metrics, such as percentage increase in sales value, incremental sales and return on ad spend. The unique part is that the full impact of the brand's retail media spend can be measured, from Co-op’s own stores and surrounding grocers. 🚀 Empowering retailers: Faster, smarter decision-making As the advertising landscape evolves, our agile measurement approaches empower retailers like Co-op.
