A simpler and more effective way to make a difference in Cheshire & Warrington
About us
Cheshire Community Foundation has at its heart, “Making Cheshire Better”. We to do 3 unique things that set us apart; inspire local philanthropy, build local endowment and get money to local grass roots organisations. Cheshire Community Foundation helps people who want to give back to the places in which they live and do business by connecting them to the local community and helping them invest in that community in an intelligent and impactful way. We serve Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester and Warrington as a partner in philanthropy and a resource in community development. Cheshire is one of the most affluent counties in England but we see a story of great wealth that lives next door to, sometimes extreme, poverty and deprivation. There are housing estates on the edge of wealthy villages with high levels of unemployment, low educational attainment, high crime rates, poor health and a high density of houses in poor environments. Cheshire is one of the most generous counties in terms of philanthropy with many people doing a great deal for good causes but often that support isn’t given locally. Philanthropy makes a really big difference when given locally because it is targeted precisely at the people and communities who need it most. By supporting local charities and community groups you can make our communities stronger and enrich lives and you can really see the difference your money makes.
