🌟And that’s a wrap! Our 2024 Strategic Innovation cohort has officially graduated, concluding a 5 month learning journey on the Innovation in Defence programme. 🌟 Across the course they have: unpacked Defence's unique innovation challenges and opportunities; explored the role of culture, behaviours, structures and processes, spaces, and partnerships in enabling innovation; and developed core skills with expert faculty in topics including:  🔹Scenario planning (Zindzi C.) 🔹Behavioural strategy (#EdwardFlavahan) 🔹Persuasion and storytelling (Stew Bewley) 🔹How to be more experimentally-driven (Maiko Schaffrath) 🎓At the Graduation day, Professor Andre Spicer shared 10 key levers for driving innovation in the workplace, emphasising the importance of bringing stakeholders together in one space: 💬“Knowledge spillovers are often localised…[therefore] physically co-locating people together will rapidly speed up the innovation process… Often real innovation comes from transferring ideas and knowledge across industries, or services and departments in the context of UK Defence’’. Our participants leave the course with practical tools to drive meaningful action both in their teams and as a community within the UK Ministry of Defence  - we can’t wait to see how they put these lessons into action! Great couple of days at the Close Combat Symposium showing #Xcalibr in action. Advanced Marksmanship feedback provided by Mantis Tech demonstrated in Dry Fire at the conference. In Live Fire we merge this with target Effect Data capture by LOMAH from Oakwood Controls Corp. provide a detailed end to end view of Dismounted Close Combat Marksmanship and Lethality Performance. This training solution enhances DCC training providing tailored feedback to individuals, their coaches and the chain of command. Access to this training performance data would significantly contribute to doubling lethality in 3 years and tripling it by 2030. Thank you to Cranfield University in particular to Trevor Lawrence and his team at #COTEC for a great range day. Great to be alongside FN Herstal and to have tested Xcalibr's integration with their SmartCore® shot in their GPMG. Sorry we were not there for the last day, the Xcalibr team is travelling to Germany. More to follow….
