Meet the newest member of the team, welcome Alex! After working at cancer research-focused companies such as AstraZeneca and Cancer Research UK, Alex has extensive laboratory-based experience in designing and conducting cell-based and biochemical drug discovery assays. Furthermore, with a recently obtained BSc degree in Immunology from the The University of Manchester, she possesses a strong interest and academic background in immune system pathologies and their impact on the onset and dissemination of cancer. Alex joins the scientific team as Bioscientist and will help support ongoing client work. We're happy to have you joining us!!😁

Revolution Medicines has shared promising updates from their ongoing studies on RMC-6236, a novel pan-KRAS inhibitor, which targets various KRAS mutations found in pancreatic and other cancers💡 Their phase 1/1b clinical trial revealed that RMC-6236 shows significant anti-tumour activity and manageable side effects, such as rashes and gastrointestinal issues, in patients with advanced solid tumours. This drug targets multiple KRAS mutations, including KRAS G12D, most common in pancreatic cancer, and has shown encouraging results in reducing tumour sizes in preclinical models and early human trials. The trial aims to determine the optimal dosage for future studies, with the hope of providing a new effective treatment option for patients with KRAS-driven cancers. We’re pleased to share our latest research presented at the recent European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) congress in Rotterdam. Our paper demonstrated how our novel patient-derived, 3D-printed model accurately replicates the tumour microenvironment (TME). Additionally, this model responded effectively to standard and immunotherapeutic treatments, highlighting the potential as a platform for high-throughput drug discovery and screening.
