Announced at the SEVEN Concours in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the same week as the company marks its 15-year anniversary, Mono Cup is the result of extensive talks with key strategic partners and meticulous planning spanning more than two years, promising to add a new dimension to the world of motorsport with a carefully curated racing spectacle. Taking place across the Middle East, the championship complements the region’s existing motorsports portfolio, showcasing the BAC’s commitment to exhilarating performance on iconic tracks. BAC's success in perfecting road-going supercars across the last 15 years has established the foundation for development of the Mono Cup car, combining exceptional performance and lightweight design. Introducing the first new Mono to be delivered to the Middle East 🎁 BAC Saudi Arabia are displaying the new Mono at the SEVEN Conocurs in Riyadh for its debut in the region with a stunning bespoke customer commission 🇸🇦 Working in tandem with the customer, the BAC design team has crafted a scheme that is timeless in every detail, showcasing a level of unmatched tailored craftsmanship which pays tribute to the owner’s country, family and interests. The bespoke design features a dynamic contrast between the sleek silver rear and the car’s front bodywork, which is finished in blue carbon featuring a unique tint. Such a compelling transition guides the placement of the Mono’s unique graphic split, which was painstakingly masked by hand during the painting process. This same bespoke colour arrangement is also applied to delicate graphics and pinstriped details across the bodywork and the brake callipers, ensuring that from top to bottom, the scheme is unified. The customer’s family lineage is also represented in bespoke automotive art form within the cockpit of the new Mono. Its visual identity plays with a three-colour stitching scheme featuring the family colours which seamlessly weaves through the interior and features on the delicately embroidered headrest. The car marks the first time a coloured interior has been used on Mono, with a bespoke blue interior featuring silver Sabelt S.p.A. belts, along with a made-to-measure seat and steering wheel – both of which are moulded to the exact dimensions of the new owner to ensure the perfect connection between Mono and driver. (Digital) twinning 🏎️🏎️ We’re excited to announce our Digital Twin Project: a state-of-the-art digital development technology that will radically enhance the unique way in which BAC produces its acclaimed supercars. Termed the Digital Twin Development Accelerator (DTDA), BAC’s suite of new solutions make up the next-generation transformation technology will be designed, engineered, and optimised in-house by BAC’s renowned engineering team harnessing ultra-realistic real world data. The simulation technology enables BAC to vastly accelerate design and manufacturing in parallel to increasing agility and resource efficiency to achieve design-right first-time manufacturing; an approach that is more commonly found in the highly demanding aerospace industry. We are really proud to have inspired Fusion Educators Hub’s competition for students at UTC schools and colleges. The competition challenges any student enrolled in a UTC programme for the current academic year to design a concept vehicle which stays true to the philosophy of a ‘concept car’: a design study which challenges convention, something which plays a vital role in influencing the design trends and innovations that will be used to solve the requirements of vehicles over future decades. Young minds from UTC schools and colleges will dive into the world of automotive design, challenging them to envision the future of mobility using state-of-the-art design tools provided by Autodesk — the creators of the software used by the BAC design team to develop Mono, all the way from its conception to the very latest generation. We're continuing our fast-paced global growth strategy with the appointment of Alan Foster as an Operations Consultant. Alan will help support BAC's operational and production processes, further driving the company's strategic global expansion Alan arrives at BAC with an impressive career history and wealth of experience, totalling more than 45 years in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Having started his career at University in Liverpool, just a stone's throw from BAC's current Liverpool Factory, Alan went on to help drive production strategy and operations across numerous automotive and manufacturing brands including Toyota, General Motors and the McLaren Group. BAC's growth in 2023 has also seen the company make a number of hires across all aspects of the business, continuing its commitment to furthering the skills base in the Liverpool City Region. Appointments have been made across multiple levels of seniority, ranging from apprentices transitioning into the workplace from local colleges to more senior roles that support the production and development of future products. Comprising a bespoke BAC race suit, racing boots, gloves and fireproof undergarments, the collection encapsulates BAC’s design philosophy – one that effortlessly merges form with function. The BAC Bespoke race suit continues BAC’s focus on tailor-made creations. Available in a base white or base black configuration, the suit features configurable accents that allow the design to complement the driver’s other BAC Bespoke commissions; be it a one-of-a-kind Mono paint scheme or Bespoke helmet design. Further visual personalisation can be undertaken if the driver desires; with spaces allocated for bespoke design placement across the suit, allowing for personalised logos, names and nationalities to be integrated into the design.
