Exciting News!!! As Autodesk has always served as a platform to appreciate the desrving talent and is always ready to boost the new minds. We are delighted to announce that one of our Club members Vansh Mehndiratta with his team members Kartik Gautam, Vivanshu Sharma, Rahul Rajput created a functioning automobile by incorporating their skills gained through mechanical labs to create a tough and utilitarian working model named as "Rc Free Wheel Tank" The objective of this project was to create a fully functioning automobile model from scratch. There are a lot of potential applications of this model like Military use, Humanitarian Aid, Off Roading, etc. All the team members assisted in designing the vehicle and some inspirations were taken from the outside to make it ideal and realistic. The body of this vehicle is made up of PVC panels joined together with the help of elbow joints and superglue, To make it more exciting and challenging we created the Drivebelt by mounting four front-wheel bike gears which were further mounted on ball bearings allowing free rotation, powered by 2 geared motors controlled and operated by a basic remote control setup, Two lithium-ion chargeable batteries are used for power supply. The most important principle of engineering was taken into account ie The project should be economical. This project is completely designed and manufactured under Rs1500. This project taught us how to overpower real-life problems that arise in the creation of small-scale prototypes. Such an innovative creation lead by the first year Automobile students of Lovely Professional University showcase their unique talent and enthusiasm to make a difference in the existing world. GeoCity - A program to quickly and safely design and develop cars in a CATIA environment. The Vehicle Architecture department uses Arcadlon's GeoCity program to support the design and development of new vehicles. First, they will create a CAD model with the desired dimensions of the client's vehicle. The vehicle shell is optimized in cooperation with various development departments and design. GeoCity helps to define the ergonomically best position for the driver and to optimally place components such as the steering wheel, pedals and instrument panel around the driver. Seats are positioned in parametrically adjustable; along with elbow room and shoulder room. There is a choice of individual seats or a bench seat at the rear. There are visual views to check to the front, rear and side for the driver’s vision. The driver and the steering wheel are required to display the placeholders for the front axle, chassis, wheels and tires. The front axle with disc brakes and struts is loaded. In addition, the GeoCity database enables access to all wheels and tires approved by the approval authorities. The static wheel diameter is important for studying other geometric law requirements To ensure the safety of the occupants, there are now crash barriers in the program, which are placed around the vehicle under parameter control. This allows the designers to make improvements in terms of strength to ensure the safety of the occupants. People who know me knew that it did not take long for me to get passionate about this project. It's about the sport that I follow (next to football) since being a five-year-old boy looking at that crazy fast Ferrari with a certain German behind the steering wheel. But the true reason why this is so mind-bogglingly interesting to me is not the sport itself, which undeniably played a role, but the way this steering wheel is designed, analysed and manufactured: With an all-in-one multidisciplinary software solution. And I won't (and can't, to be honest) go into any kind of technical detail. Those details I will leave to the blog post featured below. But translated into industry terms: All design & manufacturing steps in one place and software means that people are working with each other rather than in silos. Breaking the barrier of product-design silos means creating a better product, faster and with greater profitability. This is key to be successful in today's #consumergoods industry, where competition is more fierce than ever, consumer demands are changing rapidly and supply chains remain disrupted. Long story short: Huge congrats to the Art of the Possible project team and especially Christopher Derdak and Ignacio José Madina Ivars on making this happen. It shows what the future of product design will be.
