With the ever-growing demand for lithium-ion batteries in the market, forecasts have indicated a near-term supply deficit as early as 2025. To anticipate this, manufacturers are diversifying their cell chemistry, which leads us to the question: are emerging battery chemistries a suitable alternative to lithium-ion? We asked our Head of Battery and Projects, Dr Jingyi Chen, to share her thoughts on some of the most common emerging chemistries in the market today. In our latest blog, Jingyi looks at the advantages and disadvantages of four emerging chemistries. She also shares the secret to extracting the maximum potential out of any battery, regardless of chemistry... 👀 Learn more in the blog: https://lnkd.in/eQ3JbNak #lithiumion #batteries
