Colleagues from our team in London took part in the exciting Dragon Boat Race held in Paddington, London in aid of St Mary’s Hospital PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit), which helps support thousands of babies and children in intensive care. The Dragon Boat Race is a traditional Chinese sport that involves teams of paddlers racing against each other in long, narrow boats decorated with dragon heads and tails. It’s a challenging but fun event that requires strong teamwork, communication, and coordination. Our team gave it their very best and finished in the top half of the 22 contenders. We are incredibly proud of the performance and effort from all! The team have currently raised over £1550 for the charity! A huge well done to Paul Kennedy for organising the event and to all Bidvest Noonan colleagues who supported or took part! We are delighted to announce that our business continues to grow in the UK education sector, following recent successes with a major contract retention and a new win. Bidvest Noonan has extended its contract to provide security and cleaning services for a prominent university in the UK, maintaining a partnership that has spanned over a decade. This retention highlights the long-standing relationship and ongoing collaboration between our business and the university, located in a major urban centre. Additionally, we are thrilled to have been awarded a new contract to deliver cleaning services for another leading UK university, also situated in a major city. This new partnership expands Bidvest Noonan's involvement in the education sector, adding to our portfolio of academic institutions. Collectively, these universities serve nearly 60,000 students across various disciplines. Under these contracts, we will provide services to five large campuses. Both institutions are recognised for their academic excellence and research contributions. Our CEO, Declan Doyle, recently visited the Nissan Sunderland plant, where he saw first-hand the exceptional work our team is doing for one of the UK's largest automotive manufacturing hubs. Declan observed how our team, led by Brent Duncan, helps ensure the smooth running of this incredibly impressive facility, supporting Nissan's world-class manufacturing operations. Declan was accompanied by Guy Pakenham and James Dunnett.
