    Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?! Last night, after months of hard work, we successfully installed a stunning #placemaking initiative at Friars Walk. Taking inspiration from Newport's maritime history, Bewonder* collaborated with local stakeholders including The Friends of the Newport Ship, Newport City Council and The Transporter Bridge to celebrate the city's distinctive location. This summer, we will be hosting a series of free themed events; these events are designed to inspire and engage the local community, as we aim to create a dynamic public space that truly embodies the spirit of Newport.     Bringing Places and Spaces to Life ✨ Senior Marketing Account Manager at Bewonder*

    I was really excited to attend day two of the Northern Marketing Festival today, hosted in Leeds. There was a packed itinerary, with talks themed around experimentation and play, creativity through the lens of technology, and growth. 🧠📈 Whilst I will be sharing lots of insights from the day with the Bewonder* team, here are some of my key takeaways: 🗣️ Jon Workman & Adam Irwin: 👉 Brands must be playful to resonate with their audience and to achieve cut through. You can be playful whilst remaining true to your brand values. 👉 As soon as your ads look like your competitors, they are lost. 👉 Be bold - not being noticed is damaging. You haven’t spent all that money not to be seen. 🗣️ Dom Dwight: 👉 People don’t want to see your ad. Online content must be entertaining or evoke emotion, or customers will switch off / skip past. 👉 Consistency can be an underrated tool in marketing. 🗣️ James Bagan & Miles Williams: 👉 We often need to look for the problem within the problem to deliver effective strategy. 👉 We can obsess too much over the inputs - we should be obsessing over the outputs, framing what marketing will deliver to demonstrate ROI.     Last month, in support of Mental Health Awareness Week, our team organised the highly successful 'Wellness Weekender' event at Union Square on behalf of our client, Hudson Advisors L.P. This inclusive event provided an array of activities for attendees to enjoy, including a serene Zen Den scented by Rituals, a chance to spin the wellness wheel, a letter writing station for self-reflection, and inspiring talks by local experts and a TEDx speaker.     Ahead of Father's Day this weekend, we caught up with our Customer Experience Director David Woodman to discuss paternity leave, work-life balance, and caring for his three children. ✨ How was your experience returning to Bewonder* after paternity leave? My brain was wired completely differently and it took quite some time to adjust to the new normal. Back then, I was working in another division of JLL and was offered the opportunity to join Bewonder* upon my return to work to help build out the CX proposition of the agency. So it was a new role, in a new business to build out a whole new business proposition; was one of those ‘once in a career’ opportunities I couldn’t pass over. In hindsight, it was a huge amount of change in a relatively short space of time but I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a team during that time and I wouldn’t change it! ✨ How does Bewonder* support work-life balance and employee well-being? The work-life balance support that has been provided to me by Bewonder* during this time has been a life-saver! As with many new parents, alongside the joys of parenthood, I also experienced some mental health challenges. Bewonder* gave me the courage to be transparent about my struggles and the support I needed to find my way through. On a day to day basis the work-life balance means I can feel like I’m present as a parent as well as a key member of the leadership team at Bewonder*. As a result, unlike many of my working parent friends, instead of feeling like I am surviving, most days I feel like I’m thriving at work! ✨ Can you share a memorable moment or achievement during your time at Bewonder* that made a lasting impact on you? There are so many. Our short-listing for a UK and International Customer Experience Award for our CX training last year was a pretty awesome moment. Happy Father's Day for this weekend David, and to all the fathers among our colleagues and clients 🥂

    This week has marked an exciting milestone for the Leeds team as they settled into our new headquarters at Wellington Place! Our new office goes beyond providing a space for flexible needs; it is genuinely focused on the well-being of our entire team. We're also incredibly proud of the sustainability achievements as our office is on track to achieve impressive WELL Platinum and BREEAM Excellent certifications. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to provide a comfortable and productive environment for all. Well done to all of our colleagues at JLL and Tétris. It truly is a space for everyone. We're thrilled to extend an open invitation to clients, colleagues, and friends to visit us at our new Leeds office. We can't wait to show you around!

    Group Account Director at Bewonder* (JLL)

    So as one door closes, another one opens… quite literally, as today was the last time I closed the door on City Point offices ahead of us moving into our shiny new workspace on Monday! I remember my first day at Bewonder* / JLL walking up to 29 King Street from the train station and excited but nervous for what the future held. 11 and a half years on there have been many memories created across floors 5 and 6 at City Point but I can’t wait for the move to Wellington Place. The level of detail that has gone into the design and sustainable systems is next level and I can’t wait to welcome clients, stakeholders and suppliers into our new home 🏡. Well done to all involved 👏
