Ancient + Brave | B Corp are a mission-driven brand with a pledge to put people and the planet at the heart of their business.     Thanks to our partnership together, our programs have impacted the lives of thousands in northern Uganda. This year, Ancient + Brave funded 300 women in Cents for Seeds – enabling the distribution of 27,000 kilograms of seeds 🌱 Ancient + Brave also funded 15 new Income Generating Activities, through which groups of 30 women receive financial literacy training and collaborate on small businesses that further support their household income 🏠 Ancient + Brave generously funded a well in Abali Village – providing clean, drinking water to around 1,500 people 💧 In addition to all this, Ancient + Brave's contribution also helped fund a Newborn Care Corner at the Kristina Health Centre, where premature and ill babies are able to receive life-saving care while remaining in close proximity to their mothers 💚 Thank you for coming on this journey with us. A proud moment for our team to be named 5th in the The Times 100 fastest-growing private companies. “The brand has grown to a predominantly female team of 50 based in East Sussex. Its products are now stocked in stores including Selfridges and Harrods and across 22 countries, drawing a turnover of £10.2 million in 2023 when Prince secured a £7 million investment from the private equity firm Piper.” #SundayTimes100

The Times 100 revealed earlier this week that a quarter of the firms on the list were founded or co-founded by female entrepreneurs, down from 28% in 2023. This is an issue highlighted in a government-commissioned report earlier this year, which indicates that 2% of equity investment in the UK went to female founders.     “Fewer women apply for funding – and when they do, they are less likely to receive it, and tend to receive significantly less than men."
