    What does the Canadian media landscape look like the top CMOs in Canada? I am fortunate to be joined by Tracey Cooke, - CMO, Nestle Canada - Susan Irving - CMO, Kruger Products - and Lisa Mack, CM - VP Brand, Telus - to discuss their views on the business case for supporting Canadian media and whether they are happy to direct 25% of their media spend towards Canadian media outlets. (Part of the Canadian Media Manifesto) Is that a reasonable request? Should it be the brands responsible to support a domestic media industry? Lots to debate here as globally we are seeing news rooms close down, local jobs lost and domestic media outlets suffering as a result of more spend going to global platforms. Is this right, is this wrong, is this avoidable? Are CMOs engaged in this or do they have plenty of other things on their plate? The other side of the discussion will focus on effectiveness. Long term, short term, power of creativity, how to sell long term brand building to c-suite executives and so much more. This is on Sept 11th in Toronto at the Future TV Advertising Forum Canada.
