Abbott Elementary (ABC)

The cast of ABC’s schoolhouse comedy is like an honor roll from top to bottom, starting with Emmy winners Quinta Brunson and Sheryl Lee Ralph. But the straight A’s don’t stop there: Tyler James Williams brings a well-honed deadpan to Gregory, Chris Perfetti deserves more accolades as the always eager Jacob and Janelle James might be the funniest person on TV right now as wild-card principal Ava. Add in guest stars like Zack Fox as Janine’s hilariously obnoxious ex Tariq, and Abbott has stacked up quite the impressive transcript. — Dave Nemetz
Ghosts for Comedy
One Chicago should all be together for Drama
Evil
I haven’t watched the second season of the Gilded Age yet, but I hope the character of Marion becomes more alive. I feel like she is sleep walking through her scenes. Maybe she is intimidated by Christine Baranski.
The bear would get my vote
What We Do in the Shadows has really been criminally underrated; it is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. Ghosts is up there, too. I love the idea of an ensemble award!
It would be Strange New Worlds, hands down. The Bear and Fargo would be just behind.
My favourite TV ensemble is the cast of Resident Alien. Led by the brilliant Alan Tudyk, he is surrounded by an amazing cast of goofballs and odd characters. Corey Reynolds is great as the tone deaf sheriff and Alice Wetterland is fantastic as former Olympian turned barmaid D’arcy (lower a). And with recurring appearances by the queen of sci-fi, Linda Hamilton, playing an obsessed UFO chaser, what more can I say.
Up here in Canada, the best ensemble is the cast of Son of a Critch. Canadian comedy has a rich history from the province of Newfoundland and the actors on the show are Canadian legends. Plus, having the legend Malcolm McDowell as a series regular is, well, amazing.
Blue Bloods! #savebluebloods
Top two, Resident Alien and What We Do In The Shadows. Both shows have an amazing cast of characters, all Emmy worthy!
I would add The Boys to the list, as you have a fantastic ensemble of gifted actors who play off of each other so well.
The Boys didn’t air in this Emmys eligibility period. The season that just started will be eligible next year.
Well, you need to get the category added first.
I don’t understand why Cosmo Jarvis (John Blackthorne) is never mentione with Shogun. Much of the series revolves around him and people’s reaction to him.
“The Good Doctor” !!!!! Hands down!
Reservation Dogs!
Ghosts or 911 cast.
GHOSTS for the Cast Emmy
The Bear, Shogun, and What We Do In The Shadows for sure, with Reservation Dogs close behind.
Blu Bloods all day everyday
I agree with Ghosts and Abbot because I watch those. Although they’re recently no longer on, Bob ❤️ Abishola, Good Doc & YS cast were good.
Other strong ensembles are The neighborhood, Blue Bloods, Rookie , S&L, OGs of NCIS,911 & FBI .
Young Sheldon and FBI cast are great too, I will add them to the list.
Gilded Age!!
I know, it has been canceled with slims chances of return, but Warrior should get on that list.
Evil, hands down.
(And I’ve watched all of these shows.)
Yes to the mentions of the casts of “Abbott Elementary”, “Ghosts”, and “Evil”. The more recognition any one of htose shows get, be it in awards or mentions in articles like this or whatnot, the better :).
The Morning Show is not loved by many people, but that ensemble ate this year!
Can’t pick just one, so I’ll name five: Evil, The Morning Show, The Good Doctor, The Crown, and One Chicago (I cannot pick just one). I’m not including Marvelous Mrs Maisel because I’m not sure it’s eligible.
Grey’s Anatomy ofcourse. 21 seasons coming up, with the lead character out for the 3rd season. That mus count for something.
