AAK is a global company with more than 150 years of experience of innovating and customizing solutions based on vegetable oils and fats. AAK has been present in Turkey since 2013 when it acquired Turkish company Unipro, a leader within vegetable oils and fats in the region. Since the acquisition, two market-leading actors – one global and one local – have merged their capabilities to service their customers. Local impact and global contribution As a leading food ingredients supplier, AAK Turkey, Middle East is working within two main segments: industrial and artisan bakery, and foodservice products. Within artisan bakery, the company has owned, under the Unipro brand, leading brands with a meticulous reputation among food professionals for over 40 years. In the industrial segment, the company is mostly known for its solution-oriented Co-Development approach, and its reputable brands and solutions. Originating in the plant kingdom, they are renewable and have minimum impact on the environment. AAK is committed to sustainable development and is, among other things, a founder member of the RSPO(Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
