Arithang Assembly Election Result 2024: SKM's Arun Kumar Upreti emerges as winner

NEW DELHI: Arun Kumar Upreti from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party won Arithang assembly constituency with a vote margin of 2,729 in Sikkim.
In 2019, Arithang legislative assembly constituency had total 11408 electors. Total number of valid vote was 7872. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha candidate Arun Kumar Upreti won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 3150 votes.
Independent candidate Ashis Rai stood second with total 2676 votes. He lost by 474 votes.
In 2014, Arithang legislative assembly constituency had total 9493 electors. Total number of valid vote was 6951. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha candidate Shyam Pradhan won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 4026 votes.
Sikkim Democratic Front candidate Udai Lama stood second with total 2420 votes. He lost by 1606 votes.
