Dhanush starrer 'Raayan' gets ‘A’ certificate from censor board ahead of the release on July 26

Dhanush’s 'Raayan', starring Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, and SJ Suryah, releases July 26, rated 'A' by CBFC. Promoted with a July 9 poster and Chennai event, music by AR Rahman. Dhanush’s second directorial venture, 'Raayan', was initially scheduled to debut on June 13. However, the release was postponed and is now confirmed for July 26.
Recently, the makers announced that the film has passed its censorship review and received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC.

On July 9, the makers shared a poster of the film and wrote, “#Raayan Certified A #Raayan in cinemas from July 26.” A few days ago, a lavish audio launch event was held in Chennai, featuring performances by AR Rahman and Dhanush, and attended by the film's star-studded cast and crew.

‘Raayan’ marks Dhanush’s second directorial effort following his 2017 film ‘Pa Paandi’. The movie features Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, SJ Suryah
, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, Dushara Vijayan, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The music for the film is composed by AR Rahman.

In addition to ‘Raayan’, Dhanush will appear in the upcoming bilingual Telugu-Tamil film ‘Kubera’, directed by Sekhar Kammula, which also stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.

Dhanush is also set to reunite with ‘Captain Miller’ director Arun Matheswaran for a biopic on Ilaiyaraaja. Additionally, he has announced his third directorial project, ‘Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam’, featuring Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, and Anikha Surendran in key roles.
