NEW DELHI: The Haridwar constituency in Uttarakhand witnessed a closely contested election. Trivendra Singh Rawat of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, securing 653,808 votes, which was 164,056 more than his nearest rival, Virendra Rawat of the Indian National Congress, who obtained 489,752 votes.

Umesh Kumar Patrakar, an independent candidate, finished third with 91,188 votes, trailing the winner by a significant margin of 562,620 votes.Jamil Ahmad of the Bahujan Samaj Party secured the fourth position with 42,323 votes, 611,485 votes behind the winner.
