NEW DELHI: Sriperumbudur is one of the 39 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu. It encompasses six assembly seats: Maduravoyal, Ambattur, Alandur, Sriperumbudur, Pallavaram, and Tambaram.

Highlights of previous Lok Sabha elections:In the 2019 elections, TR Baalu, representing the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), emerged victorious, securing 7,93,281 votes. A Vaithilingam of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) stood as the runner-up with 2,85,326 votes. The total voter turnout for this constituency was 62.44%.
In the elections of 2014, KN Ramachandran, fielded by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), clinched victory with 5,45,820 votes. S Jagathrakshakan of the DMK was the runner up with 4,43,174 votes. The total vote polled for this constituency in 2014 was 66.10%.
Vote share of major political parties in previous Lok Sabha elections:In the 2019 general elections for the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha constituency, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) secured a victory with 56.39% of the votes, while the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) obtained 20.28% of the votes.
