Sharma seeks support for Kamlesh

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) treasurer Rajesh Sharma on Monday appealed to the people of the Dehra assembly constituency to vote for Kamlesh Thakur for the development of Dehra.
Sharma, who had lost the 2022 assembly election from Dehra, said BJP candidate and former independent MLA Hoshyar Singh had done nothing for Dehra’s development.“Looking at the condition of the area, it seems that development was never Hoshyar Singh’s priority,” he said.
“If the former MLA had given importance to development in the area, then today Dehra would not have been the most backward assembly constituency of Kangra district. Hoshyar Singh has even failed to develop his home panchayat of Khairian. He gave importance only to personal development,” claimed Sharma.
He said the people of Dehra were angry due to lack of development in Khairian.
“There is also a problem of electricity and water in his panchayat. There is no proper infrastructure for the school and the primary health center in his panchayat. Hoshyar Singh will also have to answer the public why the bridge connecting Guler and Nandpur has not been built till date. Why is the former MLA giving false assurances to the people of the area about the bridge for the last six and a half years,” he asked.
