Anshul Srivastava and Kumar Saurav’s Vodex leverages GenAI to create virtual sales agents. These agents engage in natural, human-like conversations, allowing users to automate the entire sales process. It potentially eliminates the need for traditional call centres.
Kumar and Anshul have since 2016 been creating chatbots and voice bots. They developed Vodex in 2020 to make AI-powered, human-like outbound calls.
With GenAI today, there’s 98% speech recognition accuracy. Vodex also integrates with the client’s CRM and offers WhatsApp messaging.
“Vodex’s technology is not just about mimicking human speech but also understanding and responding contextually to ensure every interaction feels authentic,” say Kumar and Anshul. Sales teams can use it for lead qualification, lead generation, appointment scheduling, appointment confirmation, and much more.
Anshul and Kumar have been friends from college. Anshul, a former Mindtree employee, brings expertise in AI and digital assistants from his previous ventures, including AxleWeb Technologies. Kumar, with over 13 years of experience in IT, IoT, and robotics, previously co-founded and served as CEO of Prescient Automation, a company that provides services in NLP, semantic search, and computer vision.
Vodex secured $320,000 in pre-seed funding from 100X.VC, which helped them achieve $1 million in annual recurring revenue. In April, the company raised an additional $2 million in a seed round led by Unicorn India & Pentathlon Ventures.
The two are now exploring new use cases across various industries.
