Dr Alexandra Coghlan is an Associate Professor in tourism at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. She worked primarily in the area of sustainable tourism and nature-based tourism, with a strong focus on conservation and social and environmental benefits of tourism. She is also interested in the design of experiences, and has worked as consultant on creating new tourism experiences in natural settings. Finally, she worked on and off as a nature-based tour guide for 20 years.
