At least on Linux, all versions of Thunderbird with Supernova UI are unusable for emails which requires a hardware key to login. The "insert key / input PIN" never shows up in those versions. The bug presents on flatpak distributions and latest daily version (130) as well. The latest stable version that's working with hardware keys is 102, but it has some serious performance issues with large amount of calendar entries.

I live in Germany and my keyboard layout is installed as such, my keyboard itself is american basically the keyboards are not all lined up properly, the letters are correct but symbols arent, for me thats not a problem i know where everything is and know how to help myself if not.
on a German Keyboard you usually make an @ with command + Q. According to akko gear ( the keyboard company) its command +F2##
what actually works is Command + Windows + Q
This works every where but in firefox.
here is all ive done to fix it myself: -deleted all browser data + cache -seit it back to factory mode(dunno if this is the right translation) - uninstalled and reinstalled it
nothing works..
please advice me on how to fix this

I just installed Thunderbird on a new computer today and migrated an account from an old computer. I'm looking at previous posts for migration issues.
The pressing issue right now is the color scheme in both Thunderbird AND Windows.
I installed Thunderbird (Version 102.15.1 32-bit because that's what I had on my old computer) and it had its standard colors. I was personalizing the appearance in the settings. I suddenly -- not when I was doing any adjustments to colors, fonts, anything at all -- got the most awful shades of pink and peach, and get this -- not only in Thunderbird, but in Windows! (Windows 10 Pro) I had changed absolutely nothing in my Windows display. I simply set up Thunderbird, moved to close it and did close it, and everything on my computer changed. The Windows taskbar is still my normal color, but buttons within Windows, borders and buttons on ALL of my apps such as my browser (Iron Browser), you name it ...... something happened within Thunderbird and to my entire computer. I can't get rid of it by changing the customize appearance in Windows.
I didn't do anything! Except maybe I did? I wasn't doing anything at the time within my Thunderbird settings when it happened -- I know that -- but it did happen while I was looking at Thunderbird's settings and when I closed it. Does anybody have any idea as to what I may have inadvertently done, and how to undo it?

In the course of my work I was scrolling back and forth through the emails in my inbox when I suddenly could not scroll any later than 12 days before the present date. I can scroll through emails previous to that normally. I then sent a test email to this account from a different account and it was received and displayed correct. So I am unable to access any emails between 12 days ago and now, like something took a bite out of my emails.

I went to Comcast and asked for help and they gave me a new password for one email address and it worked for a few days now NOTHING. I'm so frustrated! I don't believe it has anything to do with Thunderbird but since Comcast is no help, I'm desperate. I have 4 email addresses and each is important to have access to. Please help me. I'm at a total loss to explain that this has solved itself. I did nothing. I had given up in frustration. Then I clicked a short cut on the desktop [Firefox is my default browser] and the page opened. Then I checked using the address bar within Firefox and it now works. I've no idea why.
So the main problem [below] is resolved. Now I just need to sync Firefox on Windows11 with Firefox on Android [and not the other way around]. Hope there's a web page to explain on which device I should click on "sync".
This can probably be archived but I'm not sure I know how to do that.
RE: Firefox 128.0.3 64-bit running on: Edition Windows 11 Home Version 23H2 OS build 22631.3880 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1020.0 Avast for antivirus but with no Avast firewall installed. I use the basic Windows Defender as firewall.
I had problems with the address bar. At attempt to reinstall Firefox ended up corrupting it. I had no option except to delete Frefox and do a fresh install. That is complete. I tried to search from the address bar and it does not work. I also tried using shortuts on the New Tab page and none work. In all cases, the browser attempts to to find the address but never actually gets to anywhere. Other browsers all work. I opened Firefox in Safe Mode and the address bar works fine.
I have no idea what to do next to resolve this. The internet offers no help; what it tells me to do does,'t match what I see on my screen.

Clicking the OK button closes the attempt to start Firefox.
Do I need to reinstall the latest version? If I do, will all my info be saved? Jan

HELP! I am currently using Thunderbird ver 115.13.0 and Mac OS 14.5 Sonoma and a 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch laptop. I have recently noticed that incoming emails with colored text responses included in the email response is not visible, i.e. the text response is completely missing. In addition when trying to reply to an email with a colored text response - the text is not showing up in any color except black. This is extremely frustrating. I have been using Thunderbird for over 15 years and am seriously considering moving to another email client. Any ideas?

For the last month or so I have not been able to log in to my Thunderbird email with my Hotmail account. When I start the program a box pops up telling me the login failed and I need to enter the password manually. I enter the password several times, but each time it says it failed. I can log in with other applications, but not with Thunderbird.
I got an email recently telling me that Microsoft has changed its authentication process for logging in. Has Thunderbird been able to take this into account? If I can't get at my mail I will have to start using Outlook instead.

I have disabled navigation toolbar as soon as it was turned on, as it wastes a significant amount of screen height to expose controls I need rarely enough I prefer them in the menu. Suddenly, pull to refresh has stopped working, unless I go and turn navigation toolbar back on in secret settings, which is frustrating, as I need it more without navigation toolbar and might in theory need it less if I was inclined to use navigation toolbar.
