The Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program was made available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Through the EHV program, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provided 302 housing choice vouchers to the Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) to assist individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness. All referrals for this program have been made.

Cook County Legal Aid for Housing and Debt is available for both landlords and tenants who are residents of Cook County. Learn more at CookCountyLegalAid.org

We serve all of Cook County outside the city of Chicago.
