I'm conflicted for this review. On the one hand I'm a huge Mega Man fan and I can appreciate all the art and music that has gone into this game. I also am appreciative of any attempt at game preservation, especially now that we're in the live service/mobile game generation where a lot of this stuff just disappears into the ether after a few years.

On the other hand...this game is just not great. Definitely not 30 dollars great. Yes, you can argue there is a lot of content here - and there is - but most of it is the same sloggy sloppy crap you see in most gacha mobile games.

I don't regret my purchase, I got a few decent hours before the boredom hit hard but just know what you're getting into before buying. It's mostly a clickfest to watch numbers get big and skill doesn't play much part in it. It's mindless and silly and perfect on a mobile platform, but most of the elements here just dont translate well as a standalone title. For what it is, and for that price, I can't in good conscience give it a thumbs up.

As a long time Megaman X fan since I was 5 years old back in the 90's. This game is fun without the gatcha formula, everything is earnable, you just need to grind. But the fact I can own all the christmas skins without waiting. Worth it. Plus the story is immaculate. If your a megaman X fan. This is a must pick up. Its got somethings that are niche and need work. But what Megaman game didnt have a niche. I love it 9/10

Once you add the Qol mods its a ton of fun.
