BECOME Early Career Mentoring Program Has Launched!

A new mentorship initiative coordinated by the SPSP Early Career Committee is connecting early career members with mid- and late-career social and personality psychologists within the SPSP community.

Now Accepting Applications for 2023 Summer Institute for Social and Personality Psychology

SPSP is now accepting applications for the 2023 Summer Institute for Social and Personality Psychology (SISPP)! SISPP 2023, which will be held next year at Ohio State University, is an opportunity for 100 pre-doctoral psychology students to immerse themselves in a psychology course of their choosing.

 

SISPP applications are due by 11:59 PM PT on December 21. Please note that this application deadline is earlier than it has been in the past. This will allow more time for reviewers to evaluate each submission.

APA 2023 - Washington, DC - August 3-5

Submit for APA 2023 Division 8 Today

The submission portal for APA 2023 is officially open! The 2023 convention will take place from August 3-5 in Washington, DC. Submitting for the Division 8 program is an important way of ensuring that personality and social psychology are represented during the event.

 

Division program proposals will be due by 5 PM ET on January 10, 2023.

#SPSP2023 Program Update: Constellation Program Announced

SPSP is excited to announce Dr. Mahzarin Banaji as the 2023 Annual Convention Constellation honoree. Dr. Banaji is Cabot Professor of Social Ethics, Harvard University. Her Ph.D. is from Ohio State University; NIH postdoctoral fellowship at University of Washington.

 

The Constellation Program (previously known as the Legacy Program) will take place in-person in Atlanta and will be streamed live on February 25, 2023 at 11 AM ET. Read more about Dr. Banaji and her fellow presenters on the Annual Convention site, then save your spot by registering today!

 

Registration Update: Apply for #SPSP2023 Family Care Financial Support

In an effort to support SPSP Annual Convention attendees who have family care responsibilities that may deter them from attending, SPSP is continuing the program to offer a limited number of small family care grants (up to $250 per family). These funds may be used to offset the cost of at-home care or care at the convention.

 

Applications are due by 11:59 PM PT on December 1.
