New business model or process

Describe what makes your solution innovative.

We have the first mover's advantage in Mexico and Latin America, so competition is mainly indirect because there doesn't exist any other job board or human resources company oriented specifically to female talent, flextime jobs and flextime innovation services.

Although there are other platforms similar to ours globally -- for example Power to fly, The Muse, Flexjobs -- they all have different core businesses. We are the first company to offer flextime working solutions by providing our proven methodology and know-how to implement flextime as a business strategy and working policy. Flextime is a big part of the future of work and it's a way to close gaps between excluded populations and the active working economy.

We registered our brand in other countries, we developed a license agreement to expand and have already teams in Peru and Colombia that will license our brand and technology to scale our business.

We address a major social challenge and believe we can change the world by including women to our financial economy with equal conditions.

Describe the core technology that your solution utilizes.

We use and leverage technology 100% and in every sense to deliver our services. Our HR services is based with technology in order for it to operate, function and deliver results to our clients.

We have technology developed 100% of our own. We have a CTO and 4 in-house programmers that have developed our own software and that keeps developing new technology to improve our public offer.

We have an external platform and software (bolsarosa.com) that it's our face to the market and public. This is where candidates and companies can register, flextime job offers are published and the direct access to this excluded and untapped talent segment of professional women/moms for organizations occurs.

We have an internal platform and software (mioficinarosa.com) that functions as our backoffice. This is where we administrate all of our clients, leads and prospects, projects, services (from beginning to end), invoices, payments, payrolls etc. Each member of the team has their own access and functions according to their job position and responsibilities and uses this platform to operate their functions and deliver results. This software improved dramatically our internal operation and flow of our processes.

We will keep improving and developing new technology to enhance our services and make our business scalable leveraging technology in every way.

The economic impact of the +5,000 women that have obtained a flextime job through Bolsa Rosa with an average wage of $750 USD a month, represents more than 45 million USD a year in new income generated to Mexican families.

With our consulting services of flextime innovation working practices, we have worked with more than 60 companies helping them implement flextime working policies and flextime as a business strategy, benefiting more than 5,000 employees directly and more than 20,000 indirectly. As well we have advised and guided more than 250 small to medium size companies to implement flextime working practices in there companies, starting in certain positions and areas, helping them identify which flextime schemes works best and how to manage and measure employees working under this model.

The certification of Experts in Flextime will be launched this summer 2019, projecting to certify more than 500 professionals with our flextime methodology model the first year.

What are your goals within the next year and within the next five years?

3 goals for 2019:

1. Launch our online Certification program of Experts in Flextime by June.
2. Prepare to launch Bolsa Rosa in other LatAm countries (have the software ready, the brand registered in more companies and the license agreement) to open in at least 1+ country.
3. Make profits with at least 18%-22% EBITDA, ensure a strong digital marketing to attract more customers via web and reduce our price of acquisition per customer and have a more efficient operations.

What are the barriers that currently exist for you to accomplish your goals for the next year and for the next five years?

The risks we face are principally:
• Slow adoption of the flextime working culture in the market.
• Possibility of working laws that can make it difficult for companies to implement flextime.
• Possible lack of interest of women.
• Poor quality jobs.
• "Machista" culture.

How are you planning to overcome these barriers?

Bolsa Rosa will mitigate its risks by keep having a great marketing campaign to expose our message, attract female talent to our job board and change company's mindsets by implementing innovative working policies. To make ourselves stronger and recognized we have formed alliances with other women organizations and associations in Mexico to complement our services and be part of the same objective. We also have alliances with the workforce government department to enhance our social participation and promote our services.

We have become thought leaders in women in the workforce, flextime and working trends topics that this facilitated us to create almost 3 years ago a Working Trends Committee with big national and international companies where we gather them every 2 months, executives in HR, to share best practices and make companies more human, in order to include more diverse talent in their workforce.

Our workforce innovation methodology online certifications program will have the valuation of the federal government so it will have a real weight in people's resume of the ones that get certified by us.

This helps us guarantee our work, be a step ahead, increase our knowledge and attend the needs of our clients promptly

Why are you and your team best-placed to deliver this solution?

We're a team of 25 people, 19 women and 6 men. We have attracted, developed and retain top talent of women and men above 35 and 40 years old, who had high level positions in other companies but quitted the workforce after their maternity, so we were able to attract them by offering flextime and home-office jobs where we measure them based on results and objectives with a proven methodology that we work with. Our organization is positioned to successfully achieve our mission because of the strong commitment of the team and leadership team that we have created. I am the founder and CEO and 3 more strategic partners have added to my business society during the years.

I, Ana Lucia Cepeda Ferrara, am the founder and CEO. I had a mom who was fortunate enough to change her working schedule to part-time after me, her second daughter of 3 girls was born. She has been working in the same company for the past 37 years and has reached a top executive level, always working under this scheme.

I grew up with this example and thought it was normal for all moms to work like this. When I grew up I noticed that this flextime schedule wasn't available for almost anybody, excluding so many from the workforce.

This is what motivated this project. I wish to break working paradigms, benefit the professional careers of women, include them in the digital and financial economy, and create equality in the workforce.

With what organizations are you currently partnering, if any? How are you working with them?

Bolsa Rosa was funded by the government and for 18 months we received lots of national press and we leveraged this to acquire more market.
