Hello Neighbor

Hello Neighbor is a survival horror stealth game developed by Russian game development studio Dynamic Pixels and published by tinyBuild. The aim of the game is for the player to successfully sneak into the basement of their neighbor's house to uncover a secret.[1] The game's artificial intelligence (AI) modifies the neighbor's behavior based on the player's past actions.[2][3][4]

Versions[change | change source]

There is currently 14 versions of Hello Neighbor. They include:

  1. Prototype (This version is unplayable; it was in the announcement trailer.)
  2. Pre-Alpha (First playable version)
  3. Alpha 1
  4. Alpha 1.5 (This was the version shown when Alpha 2 was developing; it is unplayable.)
  5. Alpha 1.5.5 (This was a secret alpha made, but it was not known to the public because tinyBuild deleted it.)
  6. Alpha 2
  7. Alpha 2.5 (This was the version shown when Alpha 3 was developing; it is unplayable.)
  8. Alpha 3
  9. Alpha 3.5 (This was the version shown when Alpha 4 was developing; it is unplayable.)
  10. Alpha 4
  11. Beta 1 (First beta of the game, not very popular.)
  12. Beta 2 (More popular, although it was buggy.[source?])
  13. Beta 3 (Final version before release.)
  14. Final release (This was the final version. It was released on December 8th.)

Franchise[change | change source]

Hello Neighbor has been turned into a media franchise. In July 2019, tinyBuild created a new studio called Eerie Guest Studio and invested US$15 million into the franchise.[5]

  1. Hello Bendy was a game that was Bendy and the Ink Machine-themed. It was the second game in series.
  2. Hello Guest is a spin-off game that revolved around "The Guest" instead of the neighbor.
  3. Secret Neighbor: Hello Neighbor Multiplayer is the fourth Hello Neighbor game. It is a multiplayer social deduction game.
  4. Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek is a game that is prequel to Hello Neighbor. It released in 2018. [6]
  5. Hello Neighbor 2 is the game's sequel released in in 2022.
  6. Hello Engineer is a vehicle building game.
  7. Hello Neighbor Nicky's Diaries is the latest game, soft-launched in 11 regions in June 2022, and globally released in December 2023.
  8. RBO is an upcoming game that is a part of the series.
  9. Hello Neighbor has also been adapted into a comic book and an animated web series.
