Accountant (Accounts Payable)

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Accountant plays an integral role in Finance Division and will be responsible for invoice to pay activities, support end to end Procure-to-Pay improvements initiatives and ensure they align with company-wide transformation initiatives and Finance Division roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve invoices for payment processing
• Review monthly vendor reconciliation
• Monitor accounts to ensure on time payments
• Prepare analysis for monthly updates of team’s performance
• Prepare monthly reports such as AP ageing, GRIR etc
• Assist with month end & year end closing
• Correspond with external vendors on their enquiries and assist in vendor dispute resolution
• Liaise with internal / external auditors for matters pertaining to Accounts Payable
• Identify, initiate and lead Procure-to-Pay improvement initiatives to enhance business productivity and ensure it align with company-wide transformation, digitalization and automation initiatives and Finance Division roadmap
• Undertake any other ad-hoc initiatives or tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, leading teams and leading improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC 6.0 or Tableau will be an advantage
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures and financial reporting will be a plus
• Good communications and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced and high transactional volume environment or ambiguous situations
