Danfoss inaugurates new production facilities in Mexico to further regionalize supply chains and be closer to our customers.    This week, Danfoss President and CEO, Kim Fausing visited our site in Monterrey where new production facilities for scroll and reciprocating compressors, sensors and heat exchangers, are helping Danfoss Mexico respond to fast growing market trends such as energy efficiency in cooling, electrification of heating and the refrigerant transition.    The Monterrey expansion project will deliver an estimated additional production capacity of 100,000 compressor units used in HVAC applications, 1.6 million pressure sensors and A2L leak detection sensors for flammable refrigerants to support the refrigerant transition and double our capacity for microchannel heat exchangers.    During a visit to the Monterrey factory, Kim Fausing said, “With the expansion of new production facilities, we respond to strong market trends such as energy efficiency in cooling, electrification of heating and the refrigerant transition, and we are excited to be part of the development.”    Julio Molinari, Regional President, Danfoss Latin America, said: “Mexico has great growth potential for Danfoss. Our new investments support an important and thriving local HVAC industry and a food chain sector that is continuously looking to advance energy efficiency across the entire chain.     Discover more about how we are further regionalizing supply chains in Mexico. Danish hospital Sygehus Sønderjylland, in collaboration with Danfoss, are revolutionizing sustainability in healthcare! The hospital just inaugurated two state-of-the-art heat pumps and an updated hydronic system, marking a significant step towards their carbon neutrality goal.  With a combined capacity of 2.6 MW, the Energy Machines™ heat pumps, equipped with four Danfoss oil-free Turbocor® compressors, will provide the hospital with sustainable heating and cooling solutions. Beyond cooling, excess heat is repurposed for hospital processes and comfort and the hospital will even contribute excess heat to the local district heating network.  By replacing gas and oil-based systems with our energy-efficient technology, the hospital is expected to reduce its annual energy consumption by approximately 12,500 MWh. To put it into perspective, this is equivalent to the total heat consumption of around 740 average Danish households.      During the inauguration, Jürgen Fischer, President of Danfoss Climate Solutions, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, " This partnership is a lighthouse example of how innovation and collaboration can drive sustainable change. It also showcases our commitment in Danfoss to co-develop sustainable solutions to decarbonize heating and cooling."  Join us as we lead the way in accelerating the green transition in healthcare! A single ton of CO2 takes up significant space in our atmosphere — almost as much as a hot air balloon. How many balloons’ worth of CO2 does the transport industry create in a single year? Around 8 billion. Electrification has the power and potential to mitigate that. Our Danfoss Editron and Semikron Danfoss divisions make it more possible than ever before, as we demonstrated in our recent e-truck road trip to Le Mans. The technology is ready. Our solutions are available. Let’s decarbonize together. See electrification powered by Danfoss in action. In Reynosa, Mexico, the Danfoss Power Solutions' Fluid Conveyance plant has taken a remarkable leap towards responsible resource management. By capturing and reusing the water formed inside their air-conditioning systems, they have successfully reduced water consumption. The factory’s technicians have designed a piping system that channels the captured water to various storage tanks within the facility. From here, the water is efficiently distributed to employee toilets, production processes requiring water, and the irrigation system. Operating nearly non-stop, the plant collects over 6 million liters of water annually through its 18 large air-conditioning systems. This impressive achievement has led to a remarkable 65.5% reduction in the factory's total annual water usage, in line with our 2030 ESG ambition.
