Content creator dreams perfectly reflected in one slide by our creator Elizabeth Boon However, just taking it at face value would definitely lack the nuances and context for what she proceeded to explain. As content creators grow, these are the important lessons that come up: the art working WITH clients and not for them, building audiences with spending power and so much more. It would be impossible to list all our takeaways here but to see our creators thriving and sharing with fellow creators? Our hearts are whole ♥️. #bloomrsgmcn #mcnaccelerator

Thoughts on the latest #ndp2024 song, anyone? For us, a truly magnificent Majulah Singapura moment (it’s currently looping in our office playlist), but it seems like we’re not the only fans (seriously this isn’t a pun, just look at the social media comments👀) As people who are hoping to make content creator dreams come alive in Singapore, this song hits extra hard as we work towards The Pinwheels 2024. Enough of our cheesy musings - happy national day to all of you and we’ll catch you after the long weekend ♥️🤍. #thepinwheels2024 #mediacorpthepinwheels2024 Mediacorp Pte Ltd

Golden tips for content creation, nicely summarised by our #bloomrsgmcn creator ✨
Assistant Director, Integrated Marketing | Social Media and Website Governance | Content Creator | ACTA Certified
Actionable insights on content creation from session 2 of the Bloomr.SG (Mediacorp) accelerator. 🔍Insights from Wali Tirmizi of YouTube 💻90% of views for Singapore channels come from outside Singapore. ✅️English is the main language and gives access to any markets ✅️Vernacular languages gives additional access ✅️Singapore is a gateway to SEA 🪄There's no single metric for the algorithm Replace the term "algorithm" with "audience" and aim to make content that appeals to audience. Try to think about what you have done that resonates and do more of it. Only way to do it is to do more experimenting in the beginning 9f your content creation journey and see what sticks then double down. 🤓Work smart with Youtube features On the youtube watch page you can convert a 60s segment into a Shorts with the Remix function. Use the retention graph to identify which part to remix into a YouTube Shorts. 🍌Insights from Lingyi of Wah!Banana 01 Studio Pte Ltd She focused heavily on branding, target audience and purpose. 🌈The most interesting insight was finding out that she has different branding for each platform despite all of them being Wah!Banana, choosing to focus on different things for each platform. For example, the Youtube channel focuses on scripted content and seasonal shows, functioning as a portfolio with the aim of getting brands to commission them to make videos. While their Tiktok target the HR aspect highlighting their office culture and environment. 📊Keeping an eye on analytics. She shared the importance of reviewing analytics and identifying where is traffic coming from. Fot example, if they noticed video views are coming from WhatsApp, then that type of content is likely not Gen Z. 📈Growth hacking to success When starting out in a niche that is low intent (eg. lifestyle), focus on growing through external sources. Promote the content outside the platform. Push it out on forums, telegram channels, etc and consider paying to gain access to new audiences. #contentcreation #lifelonglearning #youtube #wahbanana #singapore #ccpn

Funny story - on the way to the Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator class last week, I bumped into one of the creators and was heartened to find out that she has already formed a chat group with a couple of other creators and even arranged to meet up prior! Seeing all 80 of them gather in one room and change the energy into a buzzing creative playground was exactly what we encourage - and to think they just met for the first time last weekend! With that, we would like to formally introduce the BIGGEST and latest batch of our Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator creators yet. #bloomrsgmcn #socialmedia

Last Saturday, we got to the streets of Kampong Gelam to hang out with our new Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator creators ✨✨. Powering through the 32 degree sun (thankfully no rain), we went on a HIDDEN.sg game trail to solve clues to learn more about Singapore’s history. We loved everyone’s high spirits and already can’t wait to see what these awesome creators will do! #bloomrsgmcn

✍️ Intern Diaries Final: Keep on Keeping on. I’d expected the end of a compulsory internship to feel freeing, yet here I am feeling bittersweet. Maybe it’s because I had a genuinely good time. Maybe it’s Stockholm Syndrome. Guess we’ll never know. Jokes aside, I learnt a lot in my stint here. Here are my most enlightening lessons: 1. Don’t use DingusFingus957@gmail.com at work. 📧 It makes for a funny story, but it is “unprofessional” in the corporate world. The receiver might not appreciate it. Pro Tip: Install a different browser for work stuff! It helps to minimize account switching shenanigans. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gwNRTzVd 2. Mistakes can be opportunities. 🎯 If you accidentally used DingusFingus957@gmail.com at work, make a funny video out of it! Helps soften the blow for you and your colleagues, especially if it does well. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gpTQXKVY 3. Don’t take the numbers personally. “Flopping” is part of the process. 📉 It sucks when something you made does badly in the algorithm, but everyone flops. Learn from the numbers but don’t laser-focus on them, it might take the fun out of the process. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gz_qwHcG 4. Say ‘no’ if you need to. Ask for help. 🙅♂️ Contrary to popular belief, supervisors are human too. Good ones would understand. For bad ones, maybe human resources can help. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gVK5bBj6 5. Try not to overthink. Use common sense, unless you’re specifically instructed not to. 🧠 Even if you turn out wrong, interns are allowed to make mistakes. See lesson #2, then ‘update’ your common sense. Ask questions if you’re unsure! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gkYqtHad There are a lot more, but I don’t have enough time left in my stint to write them all out. To you, the reader, I hope the Intern Diaries has been worthwhile. Thank you for indulging in my silly ramblings. I really enjoyed my time at Bloomr.SG! It’s rare to find a workplace where everyone seems to actually like each other. People send memes on the group chat. Some travelled together and stayed friends – passing the ultimate test of friendship. The boss lets you use AI to make him dance to K-pop and laughs along with you. As this part of my journey ends, my future becomes a little less uncertain. I hope wherever I end up at, it’s a place like Bloomr.SG. Signing off, Terence #intern #final
