About us

The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) is led by the Attorney-General (AG), who serves as the legal adviser to the Government and is the Public Prosecutor. As principal legal advisor to the Government, the AG plays an important role in upholding the rule of law and maintaining the integrity of Singapore's legal system. He discharges his responsibilities through four legal divisions (Civil, Crime, Legislation and International Affairs), with the support of the Advocacy Group, Corporate Services Division, AGC-Legal Service Academy and Legal Operations Group. An organisation with over 600 Legal Service Officers and Executives, the AGC is committed to: (a) Delivering Quality Work: We play a pivotal role in representing the State in domestic and international disputes and drafting our laws. We also strive to make a difference to the public by carrying out our prosecutorial functions as the Public Prosecutor. (b) Grow Our People: We invest in our people and support their career aspirations through our AGC Training Awards and wide range of in-house courses so that they can reach their fullest potential. (c) Nurture a Culture of Care: We place great emphasis on our officers' physical and mental well-being. Our Resiliency Team and Staff Welfare Committee ensures that there is something for everyone through our comprehensive suite of well-being initiatives. Keen to embark on a gratifying career?
