Our #NextGenChangeMakers made ✨coding magic✨ during the Masterclass in Coding led by the wonderful ⚡️Beatrice Ionascu & CTO of imagi. Now that they have experienced the joy of mastering new #digitalskills, they can continue their learning journey and help close the gender gap in tech. “We had the privilege to join ELA from its early beginnings and it is amazing to see its evolution and so many young women interested in or already studying #STEM in this year’s cohort,” said Beatrice. “I find it very special and inspiring that Huawei created this amazing opportunity.” Through creativity, confidence and community, we can get one step closer to a more diverse digital realm!

The highlight of #CSTA2024 has truly been connecting with members of our amazing educator community in person. Pam Ros Damarillo is such a bright light, exemplary educator, passionate advocate for equity, and role model for so many, and it was special to see even a small piece of the incredible impact she makes through her work at DEVCON Kids. Through code camps she designed exclusively for girls, Pam leveraged pieces of the imagi #Python curriculum to empower girls to express themselves creatively with code. Her poster session “Empowering Filipino and Latinx Girls in Computer Science: Building Confidence with Pixel Art” revealed impressive findings that even small, but focused interventions, such as her coding camps, can make a big difference in building girls’ interest in CS careers and their overall confidence in computer science. Coding Through Art: A Project-Based Approach to Teaching Python was a truly fabulous session at #CSTA2024! 🐍✨ Kelly Powers shared the joy of imagi coding with over 60 educators. While hearing about how much Kelly’s students enjoyed Python coding last school year was rewarding, the real highlight was learning about the innovative pedagogical approaches Kelly integrated with the #imagi curriculum. ❇️ One standout example was the PRIMM framework (Predict; Run; Investigate; Modify; Make), which Kelly used for an unplugged imagi activity. It's inspiring to see educators enhance the tools we've created, making them even more suitable for their students. Last Thursday, our founder, ⚡️Dora Palfi delivered her final pitch as part of imagi's journey with Butler University’s Accelerator for Education and Workforce Innovation. This 12-week program is dedicated to supporting startups that are set to transform the ways individuals learn and work. Throughout the program, Dora, co-founder and CTO ⚡️Beatrice Ionascu, and the imagi team had the incredible opportunity to: 🌟 Learn from top-notch mentors 💡 Engage with forward-thinking investors 🤝 Connect with fellow founders bringing diverse perspectives and experiences Out of  200+ applicants, imagi was one of the four companies selected who are all leveraging tech to drive meaningful change. As part of the program, imagi also received a $100,000 investment from Butler University. We had so much fun at Järvaveckan this past weekend! Thank you to Kista Science City and our neighbors in the innovation tent, Kodcentrum and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, for collaborating on such a wonderful event. Special thank you to Shruti Moodera and imagi Girls Elise and Signe for welcoming coders of all ages at our table and helping them learn a little bit of Python using imagi tools. 💜

Because every day is a great day to appreciate amazing interns...we have a few more we'd like to celebrate! ✨ Aliya Koishina is a fresh graduate from New York University Abu Dhabi, where she studied Psychology with Brain and Cognitive Science. She worked as a Curriculum Development Intern at imagi. During this experience, she had an opportunity to learn how to create engaging content that aligns with educational standards but also cultivates curiosity in technologies and programming. Elizabeth Li is a third year student majoring in Economics at NYUAD. As a business development intern at Imagi, she utilized advanced AI-powered tools to identify and engage over 500 potential clients along with maintaining over 10,000 prospects and outreach efforts through multiple CRM systems. By offering her such an invaluable experience in client engagement and data management, she says imagi has played a crucial role in shaping her professional trajectory. Magdalena Bąk is a recent Bioengineering graduate of New York University Abu Dhabi and has worked as a Curriculum Development intern. During this time, she got to review and enhance the imagi curriculum as well as update the lesson slides to make them more interactive and engaging. She also worked on mapping the lessons with standards for different educational programs. She loved being part of the imagi team because as a woman in STEM she found our mission incredibly important. Being part of an imagi team and working on lessons that make students more interested in STEM careers has been a very rewarding experience for her. Thank you for all you have contributed to imagi! ❤️
