Jeg har hatt med nettroll å gjøre så lenge nettroll har eksistert. Det vil si: Nettrollene har hatt med meg å gjøre. Og jeg lever helt greit med det. Det jeg derimot ikke lever godt med, er når nettrollene går løs på verdiene i selskapet vårt. Det er særlig på to områder trollene kommer til syne og virkelig har fest i kommentarfeltene. Det ene er når vi snakker om mangfold og inkludering. Når vi skryter av at vi har 176 nasjonaliteter i selskapet og ønsker ansatte og gjester velkommen uavhengig av tro og etnisitet. Og ikke minst når vi lager en juridisk støtteordning for ansatte som trenger hjelp med søknaden om oppholdstillatelse. Da får nettrollene ordentlig tenning og skal boikotte oss herfra til evigheten. Det andre området hvor nettrollene kommer fram i store flokker, er under Pride. Jeg har vært naiv nok og trodd at de skeives kamp i Norge er kommet så langt at færre hisser seg opp. Så feil kan man ta. Å hetse paraden er visst blitt en paradegren for nettrollene. Da Clarion Hotel la ut en post på TikTok om vårt Pride-engasjement, måtte vi slå av kommentarene fordi de var så grumsete. Da Strawberry la ut to videoer på Instagram om vårt Pride-arbeid, merket vi noe enda mer interessant. Folk begynte å avfølge oss. Til dette har jeg en eneste ting å si. Hvis noen tror at de kan kneble oss til taushet, at vi kommer til å slutte med engasjementet vårt for mangfold og inkludering. Ja, så tar de altså så grundig feil. Vi kommer bare til å gjøre mer av det. Vi skal heise flere flagg og vi skal heise dem høyere. Pride er en måned for fest og protest. Jeg er vanligvis mest glad i fest, men i år blir det også protest fra meg. Protest mot de som motarbeider mangfold og skeiv kjærlighet. For oss er Pride høytid, mens de elleve andre månedene i året er like viktige. De er viktige for våre ansatte og de er viktige for våre gjester. Vi står ufravikelig og urokkelig for mangfold. Teksten som ble for mye for noen, var denne: Nei, nej, ei, no! LGBTQIA+ -personer opplever hets, skam, diskriminering og sosial stigma hele året, også i Norden. “Vær den du er - elsk den du vil” bør være en selvfølge i 2024. I Strawberry skal det være rom for alle, uansett legning, identitet, tro, funksjon eller etnisitet. Som hovedpartner oppfordrer vi alle til å vise sin støtte til Pride og delta på den viktige feiringen. Min oppfordring til dere der ute, er: Delta i kampen, delta i feiringen, bruk symboler og vis din støtte for et mangfoldig samfunn. Happy Pride!
