More needs to come from less.   Forestry and agriculture have similar challenges in finding innovative ways to meet the climate goals, while supplying a growing population with food and sustainable raw materials.   For example, the EU aims to reduce nutrient losses from cultivation by 50% and the land use sector is expected to contribute 310 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalents in annual net absorption by 2030.   This dual challenge is one of the main drivers for what we do at Arevo – helping growers produce more, with minimal input and less impact on the environment.   🌳 One solution is found in the image. What is precision nutrition?   Arevo's technology is sometimes a bit difficult to explain because it is a new approach to strengthening plants and improving growth. Can arginine be used for boosting restoration of seagrass ecosystems? Seagrass ecosystems are important for sequestering carbon, but they are declining rapidly. A new study at Göteborgs universitet in cooperation with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) has explored the possibility of increasing the growth of these vital ecosystems with the help of the Arevo product arGrow. The results suggest arginine as a promising nutrient source, significantly boosting the root development in the species eelgrass (Zostera Marina).
