In school, physics & chemistry weren't my best subjects. So I admit it, I am extremely fascinated when I meet deep tech founders who's science revolutionizes the way we have earlier approached a problem. One of many such founders at Sting is Álvaro Morales López from AKIRA Science. Thanks to his and his team's years of deeptech research, women with breast cancer will in the future instead of getting silicone implants (with a 50% risk of rupture, leakage, complications) not only be able to get a biodegradable 3D-printed type of tissue as breast materials - the material even absorbes and helps the body re-build its own breasts!! Pretty groundbreaking, huh? This and much more is probably one of the reasons why Alvaro has now been listed as one of the Forbes 30 under 30!
