A federal appeals court has sided with the Biden administration and temporarily halted a lower court ruling that had blocked reduced student loan payments that were scheduled to go into effect this month. The brief decision by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals gives the Biden administration a significant, but not necessarily permanent, victory in two ongoing legal battles over the Saving on a Valuable Education plan, or SAVE. The Education Department now has a green light to implement lower student loan payments under SAVE for millions of borrowers. Learn more: https://trib.al/PFfva2A

"Why Top Nuclear Experts And Ex-CIA Brass Joined A High School Grad's Tiny Fusion Startup"-- "Since the first hydrogen bomb tests in the 1950s, scientists have struggled to develop a practical fusion energy source, one that would mimic the reactions that power the Sun for safe use here on Earth. The promise is world-changing: an infinite abundance of energy, vastly more powerful than fossil fuels without the associated carbon pollution. Now, with the help of one of Iran's top nuclear scientists, a small team of former Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency officials are taking on that goal. Realistically, it’s far off — scientific consensus is that viable commercial fusion is at least a decade away, maybe two. But in the meantime, the company, called Fuse, has more immediate-term plans: using fusion technology to develop radiation testing facilities that simulate the effects of nuclear weapons on machinery. Fuse hopes to generate revenue from government contracts that can support its long-term R&D efforts — a business model that has excited Silicon Valley investors like Buckley Ventures and serial entrepreneur Sky Dayton enough to pour more than $20 million into the company." by David Jeans for Forbes #energy #startups #VC

Boeing is bringing production of its plane fuselages back in-house. The aerospace giant announced early Monday it had agreed to acquire its largest supplier, Spirit AeroSystems, in an $8.3 billion deal, including debt, 19 years after it had spun out the operation. It may be the best of bad options for the embattled companies, industry experts told Forbes, but it will take Boeing years to straighten out the money-losing supplier and the quality problems that have bedeviled both of them.
For Boeing, Buying Spirit Is Only The Start Of Solving Its Problems

For many startup founders, the ultimate goal is to become a multi-million dollar brand. One way to get there is through venture capital funding, but that’s not the only way to achieve success. https://trib.al/OkEZHFH
