Personal profile

Overview

I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology, specialising in Digital Mental Health, at the University of Manchester in 2024. Currently, I am enriching my research experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Professor Sandra Bucci’s pioneering digital mental health group. My journey in mental health research is driven by a passion for leveraging cutting-edge digital technologies to improve the lives of individuals with severe mental health issues, particularly in resource-limited settings.

My PhD research centres on using digital health technologies to support the management of severe mental health problems in China. Through my work, I explore innovative ways to design and implement digital interventions that can provide effective support for Chinese individuals facing these challenges. One key objective of my research is to develop a culturally-relevant digital remote symptom monitoring tool tailored to the unique needs of people with psychosis in the Chinese context. By incorporating cultural considerations and adapting the intervention to local customs and beliefs, I aim to facilitate self-management and promote better mental health outcomes for affected individuals in China. A crucial aspect of my research involves investigating the attitudes and views of mental health professionals and people with severe mental health problems regarding digital mental health technologies in China.

As I continue to contribute to the field of digital mental health, I am eager to explore new horizons that promise to make mental health care more accessible and effective for communities worldwide.
