Overview
Rebecca Holley is a Programme Manager for the RAPID-RT NIHR-funded grant in the division of Cancer Sciences. RAPID-RT aims to show the practical use of routinely collected data to determine the impact of changes in standard of care practices on patient outcomes. She has been a project manager in the radiotherapy related research group since 2018, and has extensive experience of supporting grant applications, managing projects to ensure success and managing clinical studies from idea to close out.
Additionally Rebecca manages a novel paediactric gene therapy clinical trial in the School of Biological sciences for patients with mucopolysaccharidosis. This trial follows on from extensive pre-clinical work in the group of Professor Brian Bigger, where Rebecca previously worked as a research fellow.
Rebecca obtained her PhD in Cancer Sciences in 2007 and has previously worked at The University of Manchester in various groups with a keen interest in embryonic stem cells and control of their differentiation, glycoaminoglycans and the use of stem cell gene therapy.
