I completed my PhD at the University of Manchester with three essays on weather shocks, gender and intrahousehold dynamics in Uganda. Following the completion of my PhD, I first worked as an Economist at the UN World Food Program in Rome, Italy for nearly three years. In mid 2021, I decided to return to academia and joined the University of Washington in Seattle to do a postdoc. In addition to examining the impacts of weather shocks on intrahousehold dynamics, my other new research interests include examination of the resilience of small-scale producers to weather shocks and inclusive agricultural transformation with a geographical focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
